I've been having issues with vulvar pain for years and since becoming pregnant it has become a serious problem. After SEVERAL rounds of tests including biopsies I've been diagnosed with "Interstitial Cystitis" (spelling?)...that was Tuesday
3 weeks ago in doing my own online research I gave in to a long standing concern about Gluten sensitivity/Celiac Disease and had testing done. Test results arrived today and I have a gluten sensitivity.
So now I have to make some *major* diet (and therefore lifestyle) changes, AND I'm 33 weeks pregnant. It's all so very overwhelming, I don't even know where to begin.
I'm going to take the weekend to process before beginning the purge next week.
don't know what I'm looking for, just venting I guess.
I've been gluten free for 5+ years (and am also dairy, soy and corn free). Let me know what you need or are looking for (advice, transition help, recipes, etc). I was not gluten free 10 years ago when I had my son and I feel SO much healthier this pregnancy.
I had to go soy/diary/egg free while my nursing my daughter (for over 3 years). It is hard to totally rethink your eating, something you do every day is now turned upside down. But we still avoid soy for the most part and I have felt so much better (just because it limits a lot of processed junk - although we still do eat some processed foods). So here I am 40 years old and in better health than I was when I was pregnant with my first. Sorry about the change because it is stressful, I hope you feel better soon!
