Still got a long way to wait before my baby is here, but we're having so much fun preparing for the new arrival (read: getting awfully impatient) that I thought I'd post pictures of my freezer stash to distract me from the wait.

The pictures show: (1) Turkey meat for soup when I'm in labor, (2) Chicken stew for pot pie... still need to buy a frozen crust or something, (3) several small jars of beef jus (for making roast beef sandwiches into yummy French dip sandwiches), (4) Chicken stock (for the soup when I'm in labor), (5) ham stock, (6) chili (to be stretched by going over baked potatoes), (7) ham for soup, (8) split pea soup.

The part of my stash that you can't see in the pictures are: (1) slices of roast turkey meat, (2) slices of ham, (3) slices of roast beef [all for sandwiches], (4) breaded chicken fingers, and (5) meatballs.

This has all been made so much easier by having Thanksgiving and Christmas in the months leading up to my due date.  Most of what I've put in the freezer was just extra I made when my parents or my in-laws were visiting for the holidays, so that I had lots of help cooking and watching dd.  So thankful for the timing of this January baby!

Anyone else want to update us on their progress?

Wow, Angie!  You've done a lot!  That's going to be such a huge help when the baby comes.

I've counted my meals, and they'll maybe last us for 10 days of lunch and dinner.  Thankfully we'll have friends and family helping on top of that... otherwise, we'd be eating pizza for a month!

Those pics aren't working for me....

I'm jealous of all you ladies have done. Despite me talking about wanting a (small) chest freezer, it hasn't happened. Hubby is being very cautious about money right now. :sigh: The freezer over my fridge is tiny.

Hey 10 meals is nothing to sneeze at! I think I took feeding my freezer as a challenge, I've never cooked batch meals before. It was a little getting used to and started with some tears in the beginning LOL!

I've never made and frozen meals. Is there a good book or website you use that have recipes that freeze well?
