had an appointment with my midwife yesterday then went to chuckie cheese to let my lil guy run around. on the long drive home (normally 1 1/2, made longer by bad snow) i started contracting going from every 15 minutes down to every 5 by the time i got home. they weren't super painful or anything just very noticable. once i got home they continued about every 5 minutes for another couple of hours with some longer breaks in between then died off alot when i took a bath and got ready for bed. was able to sleep then when i got up this morning once again fairly regular managable contractions throughout the day. but i don't have any bloody show and haven't appeared to drop at all (was measuring 40 yesterday)... so i don't know if this is early labor or just braxon hicks but i wish i could tell lol since my midwife is 2 hours away! anyone else going through this?

I'm no expert, but I had something similar happen to me exactly one week before I went into labor. Regular contractions, but not painful. DH sure did get those bags packed fast after that!

Sounds like it might be soon for you.  I'm guessing sometime in the next three days.  That guess means absolutely nothing, though -- just for fun!  orngbiggrin.gif

I had something very similar over 2 weeks ago at 36w4d... yep, still pregnant! I'd let your midwife know and she'll ask all the normal labor questions then decide whether to come out or not. Good luck! Hope this is it : )

well today the contractions are much more spaced out than yesterday but who knows! My midwife is concerned about missing the birth but if she had come up the first day she'd still be camped out here which would not be ideal. guess we'll see how it goes. thanks for all the replies but wow i hope its not another week or two lol

I had contractions on two or three different nights in my 34th week.  They were every 6 minutes for about two hours, until I drank a glass of wine and went to bed.  That ridiculousness has stopped now, although I have BH without any pattern all day long still.  I am 37+5.
