Of course, now that I have said it out loud, it will probably all just stop.
Well? Anything happen?
After having contractions every 10-20 minutes all day, I left work and got home at 3:30. Took an hour nap until the contractions chased me out of bed, then they started coming every five minutes or so. Total labor was 3.5 hours from that time, pushed (or actually refused to push , lol) for ten minutes. Midwife was 30 minutes away when I birthed Rayne on the bathroom floor with my husband nearby. No tears, normal bleeding, everyone is healthy!
Wow!!!!! Awesome! Congratulations!
4 years and 5 IVF cycles in the making, Elliott was born at home in water on 2/2/11.
Wow! I am so jealous of all these quick labors! Congratulations, and beautiful name!
Well, I guess something DID happen -- lol! Congratulations! How did you handle being unassisted? What was it like? Enjoy your new baby, mama!
I was fine with being unassisted. I am glad it turned out like it did, and next time I might just plan it that way. Part of me wanted a UC anyway, but then about 30 minutes before he was born (transition?), I was ready to call the midwife. I am glad I had that option this time. The labor was super fast, I couldn't believe when I started pushing. Definitely much more painful than my 11-hour labor last time.
