The 13th of January was my EDD. For the past few weeks I have been having mild BH contractions pretty much everyday until 2 nights ago when I started noticing they were becoming stronger and accompanied by backaches and heavy abdominal cramps. I have tried to time them and they seem to be coming pretty much every 4-5 min for more than an hour. I am not sure how much they last.

This morning I got my bloody show(pink-brownish color) and then I got a few more drops in the afternoon.

Since I don't know how intense I am supposed to feel during active labor, I am wondering how long before I will have my baby.

I know every woman is different but I am just wondering if I am already in active labor and I don't know it.

We are planning a UC birth.

That's definitely early labor I'd say, because I've got the same thing going on and it's very much like early labor from the last time around. That can easily kick into active labor so it's impossible to tell if it'll just quit or what. I'm going walking during the day and going about life and at night I'm trying to sleep as much as possible! When you hit active labor, you'll know, there's no mistaking it!

Thank you!

This morning I started losing my mucus plug this morning and contractions have not stopped since yesterday. They are coming every 8-10 min apart and getting to peaks( kinda intense I would say) every time there is one. I too am going to go for walk soon.

I can't wait for baby to be here soon :)

I'd say your body is definitely gearing up, and it will probably be soon.  (What "soon" means, though, can be difficult to predict!)  Bloody show is a great sign, though, that it's close.  I agree, you'll know when you're in active labor.  You won't be writing on the message boards, for sure.  thumb.gif
Going for a walk is good.  Don't overdue yourself, though.  You need energy to birth this babe.  Just listen to your body.  That's a good thing about UC -- you don't have to worry about the timing of calling a midwife or going to the hospital.  orngbiggrin.gif

The contractions keep coming every 8-10 min. but a little bit more intense than yesterday( way more). I will def. try to rest as much as I can tonight and tomorrow.
