Would love to hear anyone else's experience with HCG levels please.

I got my blood result from yesterday a little bit ago- HCG was 41.2 which is the low end of normal (I believe). I was 15 dpo I believe from EWCM (but if I go by temps/FF I was only 10 dpo). I need to retest in 48 hours. Trying not to stress or obsess but it is not going to be easy.

THOUGHTS?

I'm having mine drawn today. I'm 15 DPO but got my first very faint barely there line at 9 DPO.

I think 41.2 is great. I wouldn't worry at all. When you test + on an HPT? If you're 10 dpo today...
Feel free to share your chart, I love chart stalking.

yeah 41.2 is wonderful, mine was only 24 at 12 dpo. What I have always been told is that the number doesn't so much matter as much as the doubling time.

nintendork is right, one number doesn't really mean anything this early it is the doubling time that matters. Is your next draw tomorrow? I wish you a great doubling time and number!

I go this afternoon for my 3rd beta. I'm nervous too but not much longer to wait. My first beta was (I think) 81 and then 2 days later was 156 which is a good doubling time. I'm hoping for 1,200 today!

Good luck to everyone!

I had my 1st draw yesterday (11 dpo) and my hcg was 96.5, my progesterone was 10.82, so my MW put me on Prometrium. Going in for the 1nd draw tomorrow. The waiting sucks big time.

Good luck Jenne! Thank you for the replies everyone! The woman at the office was so rude. She told me that because it was low that I needed to come back in 48 hours. When I asked what the level was she said "That won't mean anything to you!" Grr & arg!

Thank you for the reassurance!

Oh.My.GibletsandGravy! Really? Wow. You should report that to your doctor. That is just wrong. Period. Betabase says the lowest at 21dpo (which if you are just 2 weeks is too much!) is 41 which puts you well into okay.

I got the phone call from the doctor (She wanted to do a 3rd because this is my 3rd pregnancy but will be my first babe in arms.) and my beta was 2,259! Shew. That is higher than I was expecting so I'm still having the "hmmm. Twins?" thought occassionally.

burg and those waiting for their next test, hang in there!

I was 63.3 today, but I'm not entirely sure when O happened - probably around 21 - 23 May. So, I'm probably 3 - 4 weeks, right?

burg - The first test doesn't mean much without the second test.

As others have said, the first test verifies that you're pregnant, and the second test allows you to see the doubling time, which is the important info. So of course they would order another test! Sounds like the nurse is the one who is a little clueless!

For comparison, I was 20 HCG at 10dpo and 262 HCG at 14dpo.

I have no idea, they are doing it with me cause of my PCOS and crazy progesterone deficiency.

I think it depends on your care provider and whether or not that care provider can get it covered by your insurance. I don't recall every having a beta draw where you go every other day kind of thing but she said she would do that for me since I just had a loss 4 months ago, I'm super old and a complete nervous wreck....

No idea. I called and said I got a + on a HPT and she told me to go to the lab. My Gyn needs to refer me to an OB, so that might be why.

Holly- Most REs do bloodwork this early. It is pretty standard care for those who are having fertility treatment. I don't know about a normal OB experience but I would guess most women don't have Betas run because things are normal. With miscarriage and fertility treatments betas can be reassuring and help doctors figure out what is going on.

got my results from my blood test yesterday. hcg levels were 580 yesterday. I think I am 19dpo. The nurse told me that was low but it looks like she didn't have a clue what she was talking about. Sounds perfect. I go in again tomorrow. They want to see the numbers double to rule out ectopic because of my history.

thanks, nintendork! these numbers ease a lot of (dumb) anxiety that I've been having.

trekkingirl - your number is right in the middle according to betabase! http://betabase.info/showDailyData.p...=Single&dpo=19 Besides, it's the doubling time that matters most!

Great numbers ladies!!

I had my second draw today. 2 days ago at 15 dpo it was 332.
I'll find out tomorrow what my doubling time is, can't wait!

They didn't check my progesterone again, just at 15 dpo which was 37.8.

Do they usually just check it once or will they check it again later on?
I've never had a problem with progesterone, but I also have never had bloodwork done this early before...

finnegansmom - I had my progesterone checked at 10 dpo (17) and 14 dpo (19.5). My midwife called those numbers "phenomenal."

I'm not taking progesterone supplements but I do use a micronized progesterone cream. (I'd been using it for PMS and just figured I'd continue through the first trimester.)

Anyway, my midwife didn't want to check progesterone this time because she said it can go up and down at this point and that makes people like me unnecessarily nervous.

At 37.8, I'd say your progesterone was fantastic and nothing to worry about.

A friend of mine went in for her first ultrasound and they had difficulty finding the heartbeat (turned out it was too early) so they checked her progesterone. The test results said her progesterone was at 26 (she was between 5 and 6 weeks pregnant) and nothing to worry about so I would say that 37.8 is great!

Thanks for the reassurance!
I've never taken NPC or anything, i was told my loss was late enough that it wasn't progesterone related (most likely chromosonal at 12 weeks).
I usually don't get any kind of bloodwork or anything done this early but I'm so nervous this time around...I need to spazz down immediately or I'll drive myself crazy!

I think after I get my second # tomorrow I'll feel better.
I just took another HPT and the control line was darker than the test and way darker then the test 2 days ago so I feel happy about that.
