Oh my gosh, lyterae - that totally sounded so good that I made myself a plate of chips, cheese and salsa - and oh wow, is it hitting the spot. The salsa is the good organic "real" salsa, so it tastes amazing anyway - DH turned me on to it, we used to get the stuff in the plastic jugs before.

Yes Salsa counts! lol
I poured some chunky homemade salsa over leftover homemade mac and cheese I made for the kids for lunch today (gouda, yumm!)...
It was so good.

So, I saw a commercial early that had a nice juicy STEAK on it. So, my wonderful, wonderful husband went outside to grill me a steak at 9:30pm I swear, it's protein, some fruit, and nothing else for me right now.

Nothing sounds good but I have to force myself to eat enough protein. If I don't get enough protein Ill start throwing up then its really hard to start.
Oh and water, I have to make sure I get tons of water or again Ill start throwing up(which dehydrates me and triggers me to throw up again, go figure I don't understand it either).

Love it! I had the exact same thing when I was pregnant with my daughter. Half the time, seriously the only thing I could think of that sounded okay to eat was a Taco Bell burrito. Other than in college, I think that's the most I've ever eaten TB! Not the best for you, sure, but it's better than nothing!

This time, it depends on the day really and often it's nothing. I just have to figure out what I CAN eat.

Raisin Bran actually sounds good, thanks to whoever said that. I might need to add that to my grocery list...

I'm almost ashamed to post this...but hey..whatever stays down is fine by me!!

Today the ONLY thing that sounded good was tater tots. I bought them on a whim a while back and they've been sitting in the freezer. Oh my..they went down so easily and didn't upset the stomach at all!!

I need to eat again. Watermelon is next on the list!

GAZPACHO

is what I require today and more than likely tomorrow.

Of course after having it for dinner last night I was up for hours with heartburn but the first thing I thought of this morning was lunchtime and more gazpacho. I made a VAT of it yesterday. yummmeh.

Today's craving include Annie's Cheddar Bunny crackers and mangoes.

and I could totally go for a big, juicy steak. I can't remember the last time I ate red meat.

Taco salad made with Morning Star crumble. Add some avacado and boy is that a great meal. Lunch was humus and spinach sandwiches(grilled) with tomato soup. Right now everything I eat has been tasting pretty darn good. Sometimes I can't decide what I want to make next.

Fruits and veggies, that's all I really want. And iced tea (decaf).
Sometimes, I'll want some toast with butter.

bagels with creole cream cheese have been my "meals" for the past 2 days... at least they're staying down.

So ready for the second trimester.

sweet potatoes, kale soup, and oatmeal with a drizzle of real maple syrup

And I might have had some plain oatmeal with sweet potato puree mixed in for breakfast this morning....which before pregnancy I would have considered so gross, lol.

I've been craving bagels. A big fat toasted bagel with butter. Yummeh.

I was craving hummus and tabuleh and made a big rollup with lots of veggies for lunch and after 3 bites I didn't want it anymore...ugh....I'm so fickle. I also crave ice, like in drinks or water, which I think is because it makes me feel less nauseous, but we don't normally have ice in the house because we don't drink our well water and I never think to make cubes with the spring/bottled water we get. I asked my husband to pick me up a bag today but he said it was "too hot for ice buying". WTH.
