Yay for all the good news, but sorry you were scared for a while.

I am getting on my nerves with my nesting urges. Seriously. I cannot stop cleaning/purging/scrubbing/noticing things need doing. And dh works all week so he cannot do my honey do list fast enough. I am turning into a demon nester woman. I really need to chill.

I have a dr appt in one hour so going to get ready to sit in a waiting room for hours on ends. Despite working non stop yesterday and feeling like I wanted to die from exhaustion, I still did not sleep at all. My best sleep seems to be from 8-11am. Oh well, at least I am not sick anymore. Saw the nurse Monday and hbs were good, everything looked good. I am gaining weight really fast. I ate wayyyyyyyy too much over the weekend with all that funeral food.
Did I mention my dh is the most sweetest, kindest, loving man in the world? Everyday he tells me how beautiful I am, even though I look like death warmed up.

I hope everyone else is doing okay!!!! I am so ready to find out the gender of these babies!! I am 15 weeks today!!

Me and my wonderful husband serve God. Blessed with twin girls 2/11/11. <3

That is really nice of your dh. Yesterday mine told me I looked nice, that lately I've been looking "frumpy". At first I was but then decided to take it as a complement... I'm at the stage where most maternity clothes are too big but regular clothes are too small, so yeah, I probably look frumpy most of the time. It was nice of him to complement me anyway

I, too, can't wait to find out the sex. I'm 16w 3d now, i have my next mw appt on Tuesday and will have an u/s I guess a couple wks after that. I really want another boy, everyone I meet thinks it's gonna be a boy so I'm soooooo curious! I know a lot of people wait til the birth to see the sex but I can't stand it. There's already enough going on I think I don't know, if I can know this, then I want to!

Trekking - Oh that is horrible they got you all scared. I'm so glad that everything is perfect with your little girl!

I had my second midwife appt today - everything is looking good. I'm 16w but my uterus is all the way up at my belly button. How is it possible that I'm not showing yet? I have a little pooch..but if you didn't know I was pregnant you would think it's just normal. Heartbeat is still in the 150s. The best part is - she's going to do all my visits in my home! She normally doesn't start home visits until 36w but she goes past my house every week so if we schedule my appt for Wednesdays she can just stop by!

We'll definitely be *trying* to find out the sex. We didn't with our first child...I prefer knowing! 2.5 weeks left!!

Well I am back from the Drs....I have to go next fri(after I am 16 weeks) to have another u/s......kinda excited, now I might not have to wait til Oct to see gender, it might be next week! Ob says my weight gain is great!!! He didnt tell me off for gaining oh about 25 pounds in 15 weeks. he said everything looked great and I was doing great. I just love my OB and his office. They are so sweet.

I am so there. Its so hot here, still in the 90s and will be probably til late Novemeber, so I should be able to get by with my skirts/dresses I have been wearing. The mat shorts are too big, my shorts are too little. Oh well, at least we are healthy!

I am so hungry. DH was supposed to be home by 4 30......its 6. Ive been waiting on him so that I can go get something to eat and rush to his grandfathers. Got word that he is not doing well.

Thanks everyone, Im really happy for my hubby, hes been working hard to earn that promotion.

Im delaying making the appointment for the 20 week ultrasound. Ill be 20 weeks 3 days when DH gets home from Guam and Im hoping they end up booked by the time I call so they say I have to get it done at 21-22 weeks. DH is kind of bummed that he won't be able to see an ultrasound with this pregnancy (I wasn't totally sure of my dates so they did a vaginal ultrasound on the first appointment to check dates so he couldn't come in with the girls) so Im hoping if I delay a bit I can go in a little late.

Im having mixed feeling about finding out the gender. In one way it would be a TON easier, especially if we end up moving, to only have one set of clothes to wash and get ready. In another way no matter what the gender is someone is going to be disappointed and I don't really want to deal with the comments being made. Seriously, I wish people would just be happy the baby is healthy and forget the gender. Its not like it makes a huge differance. I couldn't care less what gender it is, Im happy to have a healthy child, can't everyone else be happy to?..

I had an apt today. Baby's heart is still in the 160's. Took my mw a little longer to find it this time which of course made me feel nervous for a few seconds, but then there it was, nice and strong. Also the baby was moving all around.

I told my mw i was hoping to feel more movement by now (i only feel the baby a little bit each night before bed it seems) and she said it's totally normal because at this point (i'm 16 weeks) the uterus is as big and fluid is as full as it's going to be in terms of ratio to the baby. That sounds more confusing then when she said it but basically as the baby grows from here on out it will take up more of the room and not have as much room to stretch out and swim around and therefore i'll feel the bumps more. Does that make sense?

I really love my mw and glad we get to have her the whole time (and not have to switch to the ob's...if you remember my post from a while back, my mw said i could request her the whole time and she'll come to my birth even if she is not on call )

Overall great apt. Oh and i found out the protocal about my strep B thing (remember my uti thread?). Because it was confimed i had it during pregnancy, i HAVE to get the antibiotics at birth. She still *is* going to test me for it later on (the swab test) if I want to. It won't get me out of needing the antibiotics if it's negative BUT she was saying it's a good idea to do the test becasue this way if the baby is sick for some reason at birth, they will be able to rule out the strep as a cause (becuase of the negative swab) where as if i don't re test they may have to assume the strep B is what made the baby sick and have to do more testing and meds to the baby.

I hope that all made sense, i have MAJOR preggo brain and I know there are tons of typos because my fingernails are too long for me to type efficiently on my laptop keyboard LOL.

Our next apt is for the big U/S No finding out the gender for us though!!

me, dh and 2 boys = our family (oh and a cat...who is also a male...lol)

Nice. I'm excited not to know this time. Though I'm sure it's going to kill me. All the temptation during all those u/s of my cervix... Not looking forward to that. I feel less crampy today. And I keep trying to go without my vicodin, but if I move around, I get sore and need it anyway. I might not need it by tomorrow if I take it easy, I think.

Wow, I just saw this thread! I was just thinking I wish there was a place I could just blab about being pregnant.

I am having spotting today, which is freaking me out after that huge bleed I had almost two weeks ago. I would feel better if I could feel some movement, I am 17 and a halfish weeks, seems like I should feel something? I have never been pregnant before, so sometimes I feel a little quiver and wonder if it was movement or gas or something.

Heartbeat was good at 155 last friday though.

I told four people at work I am pregnant, but I still hesitate to say anything to the whole pack since things seem iffy.

On the finding the gender thing out, I am totally going to find out!!!!! We have sort of been mulling over names and not agreeing to much, I think if I could discard a whole gender's worth of names it would be easier. Plus, I really feel like it is a boy and want to know if I am right.

Hooray for good news and to greenmulberry.

I'm having a terrible week - it's INSANELY hot here (it was up to 113*F yesterday, it just DOES NOT get that hot here, ever.) I'm dying, it's just too hot to live.

I'm really hoping that Hurricane Earl takes the heat with him, if he must hit!

I'm 15 weeks here and the 24 hour nausea is gone, exhaustion is lessening, but I'm still getting blind-sided by unexpected puking bouts.

Still not feeling much movement, very tiny flutters once in a while...but, we can often feel a little bulge when the baby is hanging out in a certain spot. The other night I showed dh and he put his hand on it and then his eyes popped out because he said he felt a kick. I thought that seemed surprising since I hadn't even felt it. But later that night I put my hand on my belly and felt 4-5 little kicks in a row!! This is the earliest dh has ever been able to feel anything.

4 friends had babies in August and that's been helping me get more excited about this baby. The last two babies arrived last week and both were totally amazing gentle births (one hospital water birth and one a homebirth).

I'm off to make those lemon bars that were suggested in the mothering pregnancy newsletter for this week.

Well, looks like another typhoon is heading our way! We have been here 3 1/2 years, the first year we were hit with two (one somewhat bad, one that was barely there) and then nothing until now.. I honestly could go the rest of the time without another one but I don't think thats going to happen.

Trekking- how bout trying to post on craigslist asking? Or if you are a member of a playgroup/church/homeschool group etc asking around there might help as well. Even just asking among general aqantiences might help too, you never know who might be pregnant and you just don't know yet. I found out someone I work with doing a kids clothing swap is pregnant and due 3 weeks after me, she just isn't telling anyone because she had a second trimester loss earlier in the year and doesn't want to have to spread the news if she has another loss.

I feel sick today. I haven't really been able to keep anything down. Which I hope changes since my discharge paperwork says to call if I can't keep any fluids down, and I'm home alone with the kidlets at night. Blah. I just tried eating a piece of toast with just a little water. I'm hoping if I'm not too full it'll stay down a little better. It's not the pills, because I haven't taken any since 8am.

Today I busted deeper into the pile of donated maternity clothes and am wearing a nice comfy pair of pants with a full belly panel.

I don't need the full panel yet, but it is soooo much more comfortable than walking around with my pants unbuttoned!

i could never properly fit into full belly panels with my other pregnancies. They are comfortable to wear early on, but loose...and when my belly was big enough to fill them out, they clung on tightly in uncomfortable places. Maternity pants. sigh.

Last night was rough. My kids and fiance took turns waking me up from 1am-dawn...and between the turns they took, baby demanded to be fed and kicked my bladder enough to prompt me out of bed to pee. It's not always fun being the most popular person in the house. It's not that I'm especially physically tired, but I can already feel my brain just not working. And I really do enjoy being unconscious for several hours a day...I don't have to think, it's bliss!

But it's Friday, I don't have to make dinner because we're going to a pizza dinner birthday party, and I don't have anything I really *have* to accomplish today, so I guess it could be worse.

Ooh! And...I'm in a C-cup now! Began the pregnancy as an A. Eeeeee!

Mrs.Music I hope you can keep that down.

I am not wearing maternity clothes. I seem to be carrying really high, so all my pants still fit. Although my hips and pelvis are widening so a-line skirts are out.

So what is it with people wearing pants? OMG its so hot here, will be until like.....forever, its a blessing really, because I can wear sundresses or my short elastic waistlisted workout shorts for a while. And I had lucky saved some of my fat clothes(i had lost 95 pounds) so I can wear those shirts and dresses too.

I had a breakdown yesterday, cried for hours. So many things are bothering me lately itjust piled up. Dh might be getting a new job as an assistant manager. It pays good, but the hours are very long, so I wouldnt see him. I am attached to my dh. This started me crying, then I was crying about my grandpa and i cried cos i am fat i cried cos i feel bad.............wah wah me.Pathetic.

Im big. I am as big now, as I was at 9 months with singeltons. This is scary. Also, my boobs have grown 3 cup sizes already.....................seriously annoyingly huge.
Bah humbug. Im a real pollyanna today arent i?lol

I have a couple pairs of maternity pants and none of them fit right, I'm still living in my elastic band skirts. I may be buying more soon, I have 3 I'm alternating right now. I'm not sure what I'm going to do when the snow hits though, maybe I'll need maternity tights or something?

We went and saw the midwife last night, fundus is right at my belly button, she's not concerned with my weight gain because I'm not eating a bunch of junk, and we got to hear the heartbeat this time (158). I am however disapointed that I have to meet with an OB in order to get my ultrasound scheduled and get bloodwork done. I hadn't expected having to form a relationship with one, she did recomend one and I suppose it would be good to have someone just in case of transfer, etc. So I have an appointment in 2.5 weeks to meet the OB so I can get the ultrasound set-up.

Has anyone done placenta encapsulation before? I had problems with PPD after B. was born and I'm hoping to deter that this time around.

sorry strong mama, it sounds like you needed a good cry. i hope you feel better soon, those roller coasters are rough enough without missing a grandpa...

i totally feel you with the hot, hot. my flowy dresses seem to be the best bet, but i am a pants girl, so i'm missing those. i put some of my hemp pants on, with a drawstring, yesterday, and the belly still fit, mainly because it comes under the belly, but the butt and thighs were too tight. off they came.

and i really don't know how many cup sizes my boobs have grown because my breasts hate to be confined. can't stand a bra, or even a shirt with support at this point! they've got to be free! my sil swears they'll be saggy for the rest of my life for this, but honestly i'm not into being miserable for beauty. plus, if they want to be free, they do for a reason, right?!

I have had really great luck with Gap no-panel and demi panel jeans. So much more comfortable than the rubber-band-through-the-button-hole trick, and really cute! I still need to find more maternity shirts, though.

I woke up last night to the baby kicking me! I've been feeling flutters and tiny bumps but this was a definitive kick. Yay! I'm starting to believe there's a real baby in there

Strong- I believe sometimes the best thing for a person is a good cry. Gets out all that emotion you are storing up.. Last thing you want is to store up emotions, its not good for you.. Of course maybe Im explaining away the fact that since I had kids I cry for no reason whatsoever and before I had kids I almost never cried.

Maternity clothes, I dislike them. They don't fit me well, they are either to tight when Im full term (and cuts into my belly) or to loose when Im not full term (and I spend my day pulling them up). I almost wish I had my old maternity uniforms because they were comfortable. I will give the Marine Corps this, their maternity uniforms are comfortable and fit pretty well. I almost wished I could have worn them after I had DD instead of having to go back to wearing the regular uniforms.

So today Im going to go to the thrift store and look for maternity clothes and then go and pick up an exerciser for the baby (someone is selling it for 10.00 barely used so Im willing to store it until I need it for that price).

I need to check out the thrift stores for some maternity clothes too, i only have a few things that are comfortable right now and I am so sick of wearing the same thing all the time.

I spent a lot more than usually at the thrift store but I got a TON of stuff. I spent 22.00 on: 20 childrens books (My daughter is soo happy, shes getting tired of the same books over and over), 2 dresses for DD1, a video game for DH, 4 maternity shirts, 1 maternity dress, 2 maternity skirts, 5 sleepers (they had a ton of neutral sleepers so I got some), 1 onesie, a wooden dolphin for my MIL (she collects dolphin figurines), a melissa and doug puzzle and my two favorite finds A moby wrap in perfect condition and a plush rocking dragon for DD2. Ive been promising to get DD2 a rocking horse, saw this and knew it was perfect. She adores it, I was going to hide it in the closet for her birthday but she saw it when we walked in the apartment and totally lit up so I just couldn't get myself to take it from her. Shes carrying it around the house with her.

It must really be our day for deals to. We went to pick up a toy chest Ive been wanting to get for DD1 and DD2's stuffed animals and it was on sale. When we were there we ran into DH's boss and they were replacing their living room set. Later we got a call from his wife asking if we wanted their old one because she knew I had issues with ours (we got it second hand and it smells even after repeated cleanings). So Monday DH is going to go pick it up and theres one less thing on my "one day I would like" list. Best thing of all we went by to drop something to them and spent a couple hours talking to them. They are really a special family, I love spending time over there, now if only we both weren't so busy. Ive been so blessed today.

Sometimes I feel like I'm the only person in the world who loves maternity clothes. But I will admit, I'm pretty lucky - I have a huge wardrobe, all bought second hand or borrowed and most of it is nicer than my 'real' wardrobe. I don't do 'belly panel' style though - I like the wraparound elastic.

Okimom that sounds like a great day. Congrats on the deals.

I gained 3 cup sizes last time, but not much at all this time.
