Just wondering if any of you think you'll have your baby in the next couple of weeks? I'm 36 weeks, but I've gone the full 40+ with my first two, so unfortunately I think I still have a while.

Almost 37 here but both girls were born at/around 40 weeks so I figure I have a while before he comes. As long as its after the 29th of this month Ill be happy. I want to get through DD1's birthday before having the baby to take care of.

I can't imagine going over with the twins but i guess it's possible , I have seen others on here go over. I went over with  my first son but not sure how far long I would have really gone If I hadn't been coerced into a c-section ,with my 2nd son i went to 42 wks and a day. I think I would cry if I went to 42 wks with the twins though.

i was 4 days "early" with #1 and 4 days "late" with #2- so who knows?? i feel much closer to the end, but my midwife said that is really normal with each added pregnancy.

In my last DDC (April 2008) there was a twin mama who went 42 blush.gif Not to freak you out. She was actually really happy. I think her babies were both around 8lbs!

I feel like I'm going to go early- DD was born at 39 wks and I feel like this one will land earthside around 38, which would put us in the last week of January. But I can't tell if that's intuition or wishful thinking at this point? lol.gif

I had a similar experience except..I was 9 days late with the #1 and 9 days early with #2. So I am hoping this one comes on time. But sometimes I feel this baby might come a little early.

I have a LONG ways to go! LOL I have given birth at 42 weeks, 40 weeks and 43 weeks so I am not expecting anything early. On time would be nice though. 43 weeks is painful and slow and I hate the comments and the waiting!

I'll be 36 weeks tomorrow, my last came at 41.  I'm OK with that.  Baby needs more time I guess.

43 might start to wear on me though, maybe more mentally than physically.

And the twin mama who had hers at 42 weeks must have a iron uterus!  Superwoman for sure!

I think I've got some time left. I'm about 36 and a half weeks a long now but I've gone over with both prior pregnancies. DD was induced at 41wks exactly so I've no idea how long I'd have gone with her and DS was born at 42wks. I'm hoping to not go much past "term" this go around.

I'm kind of thinking I'll go into labor during the SuperBowl, which is three days past my due date. That could just be wishful thinking tho!!

My other two came at 40w 4d & 40w 2d so I expect I'll get to 40 again, which is fine with me. I'm not ready to be done being pregnant, I'm still really enjoying this pregnancy & I'm 35 wks now. Also I know it will be my last so I want to savour every last minute of having a baby in my belly, and only having 2 kids to chase after!

I have no idea, DD was a little over 2 weeks early. I'm trying to have anything ready "just in case" without focusing on that being delivery time... That said my office is treating me like a time bomb, and everyone seems to think that I'm suddenly going to go into labor and deliver a baby right there.

I'm 34 weeks tomorrow so I assume I have at least a few weeks.

But I have to say I'm envious of all of you with a bit of a pattern with your other kids (all late, all near due date etc.). My first was 40w5d and my second was 37w2d so I have no clue if I should be ready early or preparing for the long haul. It's kind of tricky because on the one hand I don't want to be caught unprepared again (like #2) but on the other, I don't want to set myself up to expect an early babe and then be all grumpy when he/she doesn't show before the due date. When I was expecting #2 I had purposely told myself to expect to go to like 41 weeks and then we were not at all prepared when my water broke at 37weeks.

Anyone have advice or positive stories about this kind of situation?

Hey, i'm 34 weeks tomorrow too! :D  I have been having tremendous premonitions, dreams, and just plain daydreams that I'm about to give birth. I keep dreaming about 1/11/11 for some reason...

My sons were born at 37+2 and 37weeks exactly, so i'm thinking I probably have at least 3 more weeks, but I can't shake this feeling like this one is going to come SOON.  I should probably (?) be more nervous, but I'm just so anxious to see him that I can't stand it.  I was supposed to have a MW appointment and an ultrasound today, but the office was closed due to the weather here :(

Happy tattooed mama, madly in love with my 2 sons and my tattooist partner. Expecting darling #3 in 02/2011!

I was 37 weeks with my first, 39 weeks with #2 & #3, both induced. 37 weeks with #4, induced, and 3 days early with #5. I have no idea what to expect this time, except I refuse to be induced! I don't actually feel I will make it to the end, but I would like to hold out until Feb because I already have a Jan baby. I keep teasing dh telling him not to make plans for the super bowl!

Yup. I think I will.

We'll probably start talking induction in a couple of weeks. He's 37 weeks on the 26th (at the latest, two different due dates). And we'll have to see from there. I probably won't go a day past 8th for sure.

Which means about 2-4 weeks. I'm guessing 2-3.

I don't think I will but I would LOVE to!  I'm not 36 weeks till Saturday so anytime after that I think I'd love to go.  I know a 36 weeker could have it's share of problems being a little on the early side but it's considered term right?  I just feel so tired and my history tells me this is going to be never ending.  My first was 43 weeks and my second was 42 weeks and a day.  I know in my head I will most likely be a couple weeks late but I feel ready NOW.  I don't have everything together but physically I don't care, I'm not enjoying it that much any more and I would love to see what we are having and just have my babe with me!

According to the clinic I go to full term is anything between 37 and 42 weeks. You are "past due" until 42 weeks.

Yeah, full term is not until 37 weeks. A 36 weeker is technically a preemie, and it'll say so in papers.

That's why I really want to get to 37 weeks, to avoid the preemie thing completely!

And yeah, you're not on overtime until 42 weeks.

Yeah, a 36-weeker is a "preemie," but you're not likely to have many problems if that happens.  Lots of 36-weekers don't even need the NICU at all, and at this point, the chances of developmental issues from prematurity are extremely slim.  The biggest hurdle for most 36-weekers, I think, is that establishing breastfeeding can be more difficult than with a full term baby, but it's definitely a hurdle that can be overcome if so.  I breathed a big ole sigh of relief when I hit 35 weeks last Friday, and although I want him to stay in there and cook a few more weeks, it's so beyond good to be at this point!

Yeah, I'm 35 weeks tomorrow (wednesday) and I'm so relieved to have gotten here too, and 36 weeks will also be awesome. However, full term would rock. I so want to have a full term baby.

And I would be more worried about breastfeeding and such too, with a baby now, not the preemie issues really. But I would love it to go smoothly, all of it, and hitting 37 weeks, or even 38 would make that more likely. And obviously best for baby to be 37 weeks or more.

Oh, gosh, I know.  I was really nervous at 28 weeks, but genuinely thought, "Ok, I'm going to be having this baby soon, so, all right," at that point.  Now as we come closer and closer to full term, I want it so badly - and it's actually within reach.  I'm having major anxiety attacks in a way that I haven't yet in this pregnancy, because I actually am believing that I COULD have a full-term baby, which I haven't believed at all through the course of this.  It's wonderful that at this point we're past all of the really scary preemie stuff, and I'm so grateful for that, but, of course, now I want more!  I'm okay not having the VBAC that I wanted, but I would be so, so happy to have a "take-home" baby.  And I'm 36 weeks on Friday, and my BP is still 120-130's/80's!  It's feels like so close I can taste it!

Yeah....I guess I knew 37 weeks was full term.  I was thinking that 36 weeks is when we are able to deliver at the hospital we want to, if you are before 36 weeks they send you to the bigger hospital that has a nicu and it's not as natural birth friendly.  I know in my mind I want a term baby and I know that I will most likely reach 41 or 42 weeks but I'm really impatient!
