I woke up about fifteen minutes ago to use the bathroom. Went and laid back down and there was a small gush of fluid. Not much, but enough to make me feel like I needed to change my pants. Get up, change pants. Lay back down. A few minutes later another much larger gush of fluid, enough to soak my pants and soak the bed. Get back up and go to the bathroom to clean up and change. I peed again and I peed a good amount even though I had peed a lot when I first got up. So now I have no idea if I actually peed myself or if my water broke. I remember someone posted they thought their water broke but they had just peed because their lo moved off their bladder.
I'm very tempted to say my water broke but I've never had it break before labor. I'm also feeling neausated and I'm pretty sure I've had one or two real contractions. But I could just be freaked out because I am rather freaked.
So...did my water break or did I just pee myself?????
Id assume my water broke if I was you.. Specially since it happened twice. Sounds like one of my friends births, couple gushes then contractions started, she had her baby 10 hours later.
i'd call your provider and have it checked. I'd assume your water broke... mine was AROM with my first and broke with my second.... gushing water is pretty much what I had. Felt like i needed to pee and there was no controlling it at all
Oh yeah, my water definately broke!! After typing this out I went and laid back down and several more gushes later, I got DH up and called my midwife. I've had a few intense contractions but not many. I'm really waiting on labor to kick in full force here. MW had me call her to come when I started having some good contractions so I did, but not that she's here, not so much. I'm thinking it could be awhile, but I'll keep you informed when I can!!
Quick and easy labor vibes coming your way!
OMG so jealous! I hope you have a wonderful labor and birth!
This has happened to me a few times very recently, but each time was actually was pee. Opps. :(

Oh, exciting, good luck!
Hurrah! Your water breaking was exactly how it was with my first birth. DH made fun of me for peeing myself until we realized it was water breaking and then he went into hyperdrive serious mode! :) Hoping for an easy labor for you!!
I'm Brooke! I'm an avid knitter (ravelry:mamaaulait) and IBCLC. Homeschooling mama to my girls, Maiya (4/2009) and Jenevieve (2/2011) and my boy, River (9/2013).
Still hanging out and waiting. Active labor hasn't really kicked in yet though I've had some good contractions. We've just got a waiting game going on. Midwife thinks baby may have accidently ripped the membrane () and I wasn't quite ready for labor, which is why it hasn't kicked in really yet. Luckily my midwife doesn't put a time limit on how long I've got to get things rolling (hurray!!!), but I'm hoping things will pick up in the next couple of hours, tops!
Thanks for the well wishes, ladies! Hopefully next time I'm on here its to tell you all about baby!!!
ELVs coming your way!!!
