I am still nursing my 3 yr old ... and in every previous pregnancy (5!) I've had terrrrrible sore breasts by now, but this time, barely a tinge of sensitivity, not uncomfortable at all... Anyone else still nursing?? I mean it's tiny amount of milk at this point, if any, bceause he only nurses to sleep at bedtime... and he says "the che-che is all gone"(after the spanish word leche that he learned to use) soo.... I'm not sure... I'm really afraid of losing this baby, I've already lost three, and keep fearing that lack of that one symptom may be a bad sign!! ANyone else?? I'm 8wks today... the last two I lost were around 8-9 wks...
I don't know if this will help much, but with my first I really had no breast tenderness at all as a symptom. This time I do (she weaned a bit over a year a ago)...
Have they been tender at all this time? If not, I especially would not concern myself over it, and even if you have that might not mean anything either. I know mine a way less tender this week then last week (I am 8 weeks now).
Hope that helps some and that everything continues to go ok!
I've got the opposite situation happeneing here... My last two pregnancies I had no breast soreness because I was nursing, and this time my boobs hurt soooo bad. I'm thinking it's because I weaned my son a couple of months before this pregnancy. My MW thinks this may be case also. So, I'm thinking your lack of soreness may be the nursing thing. I lost my last pregnancy too and I'm and very paranoid this time around. I even dream that I'm miscarrying. But I think it's important to remember that we can't control anything and everything happens for a reason.
I've noticed that the more I nurse, the less sore I feel. With my first pregnancy, though, I didn't really get too sore until the last part of pregnancy.
Crashing from April DDC....that is very interesting! Painful breasts were my first symptom with DS, but nothing so far with this pg and I'm nursing DS. Although he only nurses on one side and both are not sore...so there is a twist to the idea
I had horrible breast pain/sensitivity with my first pregnancy. Like you, I'm still nursing (even though I'm pretty sure my milk is completely gone) and am having no pain this time. They are a tiny bit sensitive when DD (34mo) latches on, but nothing like last time. And I'm also about 8 weeks along.
With my first pregnancy I can't remember having any breast tenderness at all. And while it is toning down now, for a while, all you had to do was breathe on them and they would hurt.
so I really think it depends on the pregnancy. Each one is different with different symptoms.
I AM SO GLAD I ASKED!! You ladies are awesome! I feel a lot better about it now... I wish all around that I had any symptoms, but this is one that I remember vividly..
ALso, I still have dreams of lsoing this one... the last 2 that I lost were gone for a while but my body didn't realize it, so I made it to 12 wks but baby stopped at 8w1d
I only found out when MD couldnt hear a hb, so he did u/s and it was gone...
SO needless to say, 8wks is scary for me, BUT i'm very glad to have you all here with me
I'm nursing my 23 mo. old, and I'm not sore at all - which surprised me!
