I've been having cramps since the day before I got my BFP. This past week they have been getting stronger. They feel like mild menstrual cramps. Last night they got worse, to the point where I thought something was wrong. They lasted about 2 mins and then eased up. I've been having them on and off today and they are more mild again. I haven't had any spotting.

Anybody else having cramps? What do yours feel like?

Loving my husband and our beautiful daughter.  TTC baby #2!

Very, very normal! Cramps in early pregnancy come from the baby burrowing in deeper, and from the uterus stretching. They can feel a lot like AF is around the corner. I've noticed the stretchy type cramps happen more at night for me. As long as there's no bleeding, cramps are a good thing in early pregnancy!

DEFINITELY felt that up until about 22DPO. Totally weird feeling though, different than menstrual cramps for me. Glad it's normal! Haven't had any for a week now!

Totally normal! Cramps were the only symptom I had with my first until 9 weeks or so-it's what made me test in the first place this time. To me, it feels almost like PMS, which can be confusing!

I'm having more pinching type pains than menstrual cramp like pains. A couple of them have been pretty strong.

Hi - this is my first post in this DDC. I too have been having cramps and they are quite uncomfortable at times. I remember them vaguely from my first pregnancy in '08. I think it's normal.

Thanks for posting this, I was going to post the same thing today. Today, I was having strong AF-like cramps, but strong enough to take my breath away a few times.
I was scared, even tho I know it is totally normal.

I've been having them too, and I'm super early! I only found out yesterday! I remember then vaguely from the first time around (Jan 06 baby) but I think they might be stronger.

Thank goodness other people are having these too. They don't feel like menstrual cramps, and they don't really feel like a sluggish bowel. They're just odd and disconcerting.

DW and I are moms to two teens (DD 17 and DS 15) adopted through CAS in 2007 and a toddler (DD 2) born at home in March 2011.

I find early pregnancy symptoms nearly identical to PMS! cramps, pimples, sore breasts, etc.

Why can't there just be a clear sign - like your belly button starts blinking red when you are pregnant.

This is a really reassuring thread. I'm newly pregnant w/our first (BFP on 8/10 and AF not due til 8/15 or 16, so early, exciting news!) and woke up this morning with cramping that feels like PMS. It also reminds me of the cramping I had for the first 6 mos or so I was on Mirena, although more mild than that.

Anyway, glad to hear that this is normal! I'm just a little nervous about finding out so soon, even though it's so exciting too!

I JUST posted about my aches and cramps! Wish I had found this thread before I posted!
I've been having aches and cramps and keep worrying somethings wrong. In my first two pregnancies, I never had any cramping. Mine are slightly stronger than AF cramps. And I'm wondering if I over did it in the pool playing with my older two the other day as well.
Anyways, very reassuring thread.

Hi, I am currently in the two week wait (around 4 or 5 dpo) and have an ever so slightly pinching pain every time I sit down to pee (sorry, if tmi).
I am now wondering whether I develop cystitis or whether this might mean implantation cramps.

I remember that with my first, there was a very similar feeling every time after I urinated. The uterus cramped afterwards.

Has anyone experienced something similar?
