I know I can't be the only one who keeps retesting to make sure it's still positive. I just love seeing that magical little plus sign pop up. Confirmation that, yes, I'm still pregnant this morning!

Yes, most definitely. I've been testing at least twice every day since 5dpo. I'm somewhere between 17 and 12dpo now (most likely 17). I woke up this morning thinking that I wouldn't test since I got a very quick BFP on a digital yesterday late morning without holding my urine at all. I had just gotten a bag of 10 ICs in the mail yesterday and I was thinking I could pass them along to someone else. I couldn't do it! I ran downstairs and got them before I peed so I could test with FMU. I actually wish I could stop but I have no self-control. I've had 5 early losses and 1 11w loss so I'm paranoid. I was still poas at 8w with my 11w loss. Maybe I'll be able to stop after a 6w u/s that shows a heartbeat.

A Dollar!??

The only tests I have seen are the ones at our drugstores that are like $15 for one test!! I would be testing all the time if I knew there were tests for a dollar!! I'm so cheap, I even waited for an upcoming docs appointment to confirm my pregnancy so the test would be free .

But tests for a dollar changes everything.....mwahhhahhh!

You want really cheap hpts? Here you go. Save on Tests The dip strips are less than $1 even with shipping. They come from Canada so may take too long to get shipped depending on where you live. The $ Store tests are only a $1 and work really well for me.

I've tested multiple times but I did have two super early losses in 2006 where the tests got lighter and lighter then disappeared. It was hard. So it makes me feel good to pee on a stick and see the lines. One I get past this week I think I'll stop. I think.

I think I'm still in shock so I keep checking to make sure I'm really pregnant!

Me, too. It's so hard when you're so early that there are no symptoms. I mean, my period may not even be late yet. There's no way for me to know for sure. I do have a heavy, full feeling in my lower belly and I am peeing a lot but I always pee a lot. I may be having some very slight m/s. It's hard to tell. I don't really know if I'm hungry or nauseous or just nervous.

I've been buying big stacks of .99 cent tests at the commissary every time I go. I resisted buying dollar store tests today while I there picking up something else. I'm limiting myself to one a day. AF isn't late yet for me either. I was expecting it tomorrow. But my lines have continued to get darker every day. I haven't made an appointment with anyone yet. We want to talk to a midwife here about a homebirth, but dh wants me to wait another week or two to contact her. If that doesn't work out, I'll have to jump through the hoops to get seen at the Army hospital here.

Oh, that's right. I forgot that I had seen hpts for .99 at the commissary last time I was there. I'm seeing a midwife tomorrow to discuss getting a referral to a maternal/fetal specialist because of all my losses. I don't have a regular health care provider to see. I'm hoping the MFM doc can just help me get through the first tri without a loss and then I'll stop seeing him and only see the midwife. I have a feeling he's going to recommend I continue to see him because I'm over 40. He'll probably also recommend all kinds of genetic/birth defect/disability testing, which I will refuse. It should be interesting.

ooh, I am heading to the commissary later today, I will look for the cheap tests. Question for you addicts: I'm on CD35, should I still wait and use first morning urine or has it been enough time that I am probably OK with testing in the middle of the day?

How many dpo you are is more important than what CD you are on. I got a very clear BFP as dark as the ones I took with FMU at 9pm on 17dpo (CD30). I tested again today at noon (24dpo, CD37) and got an extremely dark line right away. I'd say unless you had a very late O and are still only 12-14dpo, you're probably good to test any time you need the reassurance.

I didn't temp this month but according to my CM I am 20 dpo. I was planning to start temping again my next cycle...lol! In the 8 months that I've been keeping track I've never gone past 30 days.

eta I just took a test which came back negative. I am getting frustrated. I would like the cramping to stop and af to come or just show me two lines already!

I picked up some extra tests from the commy too. Our command has a rule that AF needs to be 2 weeks late before you can come in for pregnancy confirmation. It sucks because I've had spotting and cramping. I took a test and it made me feel a lot better. I think I was going nuts over the spotting and DH even asked me to take another.

I got a nice dark line today. Darker than the control line. That makes me feel good. Once I hit 5w on Saturday I think I'll quit testing. I think. It's just so nice to see those lines.

That's wonderful. I think we have the same EDD. I'm most likely 4w4d today. There's some question about my O day since I didn't temp at the beginning of my cycle. I'm somewhere between 13 and 18dpo. I'm usually a later Oer, though.

What test did you use? I've been using ICs and they lines are getting darker but they still aren't dark, dark yet. They might be darker on a FRER or Answer Early because those lines were darker when I used them before. I also got a "pregnant" on a CBE digital a couple of days ago.

We do have the same EDD! I might be off a day on the O day though. We weren't charting or trying. All I know for SURE is that is was the weekend of our tenth anniversary trip!

I got the dark line on an Answer test. I just wanted to see it in relation to the one I took on Monday and it was much darker. My DT test was darker too today but not super dark. I hate those things but they're so darn cheap!

I would have today if I had a test...I've taken five so far

I got the first very very faint two weeks ago, and I'm guessing I was around 10-11 DPO but I wasn't charting. A couple days later, it was pretty obvoius and even darker a day or so after that. That helped me know that I was very newly pregnant and am probably pretty on with the dates.

Ah, Answer Early. I've got one more of those but I'm saving it until I run out of my ICs. I know I'd get a darker line on that one because it was darker several days ago. The ICs are bothering me a little because the line is definitely darker than before on those tests but not dark, dark. Once I use that last AE (and the last CBE digital) I'm going to try, try, try not to test anymore. I might get a few $ Store tests, though. I just can't resist.

We weren't trying, either, just not preventing. I always chart because my cycles are usually long and irregular and I wouldn't know when to expect if I didn't chart. I usually don't start temping until I get ewcf because I usually have another from then before I actually O. This early O really threw me. I have a different chart that says I didn't O until cd18 but I think that's only because it doesn't have enough to confirm O before then.

Yeah I broke down and bought the Answer test because I needed to see a dark line. The DT tests are getting darker but not super dark still. I really want to stop testing at this point but my first lost was at 4w5d and the tests had gotten lighter and lighter then no line on the day I started bleeding. It was totally unexpected and devestating. So it's just soooo nice to see those lines! I really do need to stop though. Once I see the intake nurse next week and get the official "knocked up" diagnosis I'll feel better.

This is all so different for me. We tried for a year, used O predictor kits, etc with DD2 to get pg. This time it was nothing. We were actually kinda trying to prevent. Go figure! Super excited though..Just cautious..

I went ahead and used my last AE. The test line came up before the liquid had even worked it's way to the control line and it's very dark, maybe not quite as dark as the control but very, very close. I was only able to hold my urine for about 2 hours so it wasn't very concentrated. I feel a lot better about that now. I wish those darn ICs were get darker!

i dont really consider myself a poas addict at all, but i took an ic yesterday at 9 dpo and it was positive, not a squinter, but faint. so i got a beta (really for progesterone levels, since i have a lpd,) and on the way out the door to the doc's office, i checked an ae, just to double check before i went to get it drawn, and it was more positive on the ae than the ic. then today i took another ic and it is quite pink and positive. then, just for fun, i took an opk, which was also just barely positive but positive, so i am guessing my beta today is around 40, will see this afternoon what the bloodwork from yesterday says.

good to see you marinewife!

I took a first response (pricey but the comm was out of the $0.99 ones and there was a coupon...) today, 1 full week after my expected period and still it was negative! I am very disheartened by this. I really want to be pregnant so badly. What in the world is going on with me?

I'm sorry you didn't get what you want. Are your sure is late? Have you been charting so you actually know when she's due? If not, that's certainly one thing you can do to at least know whether pregnancy is even a possibility.

I have been tracking days and CM, but haven't started temping again. I fell out of the habit when my grandmother died and have been trying to get things restarted. From the 3 months that I did chart plus the many months that I've just loosely tracked the days, I've only gone over 28 days once, and that was only 30 days. I could just kick myself for not temping this month. I thought about it and decided to wait til my next cycle.

I Answer tests. With my ICs I was getting ghost lines that I assumed were evaps and then took an old, slightly expired Answer and a gorgeous BFP popped up right away and this was only at 11dpo in the afternoon (although I personally get much better lines later in the day).

So like a week before my BFP I got 25 ICs in the mail. It's a blessing and a curse, I think, because I have tested like 10 times starting yesterday morning. They are so faint they are barely visible. That was fine yesterday--they did get darker, but then they seem to have stalled out, and this morning's wasn't any darker than last night's, which is freaking me out! I mean, they're a couple shades darker than squinters, I'd say, and definitely pink, and definitely showing up within the time limit. But still, I'd feel so much better if they were getting obviously darker...

That said, I did take an Answer Early Result this morning with the same urine, and it is faint, but DEFINITELY positive--a nice, clear, pink line.

I should probably just relax, right? I'm only 10 DPO. Plus, I know test lines can vary within a batch.

Yeah, ya know I've still been obsessing a bit because the line on my IC with FMU this morning was lighter than yesterday. I waited until about 11 am and tried again with another IC (that's all I have left) and the line is darker than this morning. I didn't even really attempt to hold my urine. The only difference was that with the FMU one I used my special, shallow plastic urine collection cup and the one later I used a regular old paper Dixie cup filled to the top. Do you think that could make a difference?

I got a late in the day bfp at 8dpo with my last baby. I was a-squinting away at them this time at 8dpo, but they were positive, just terribly terribly faint. I've never gotten an evap line, and to see four "evap lines" in a row...I knew that wasn't right. There was so little hcg that it was taking a loooong time to turn the test (like between 5 and 10 min). Test at 10dpo was quite nicer, and today at CD 31 and 15dpo, that second line came up fast and dark in the midafternoon. Yay!!

Admittedly, it wasn't exactly fun peeing on and evaluating about 9 sticks to confirm...but I'd have gone much more insane waiting this whole week to know, and I have known for a week today.

Grow baby, grow!
