Does anyone have any good ideas for Halloween? I work in a bar and I need to dress up, but picking a cute costume with comfortable shoes is a bit of a challenge. I'm known for good costumes at work, but this year I'm stumped. The stuff in the stores are too trashy/slutty and won't do much to hide the bump.

When I was pg with DS1 I got a big blue tshirt and painted my face blue. I made an M&M logo for the front of the shirt and made a sign for the back that said "warning: contains 1 peanut"

When I was pregnant with DS, I wore a nun costume that I tied under the bump so it was obvious that I was pregnant. XH found a priest costume that got an erection when you squeezed a pump shaped like a scrotum. Insanely tacky, I know, but when you're 20, tacky is good!

I'm not dressing up for Halloween, but my cousin is having a prom-themed party for New Year's. I'm going to go as the proud pregnant promgoer. I'm going to find the ugliest prom dress I can at Goodwill and cut out the belly. We're going to put stick-on rhinestones around my belly button, slather on tons of body glitter, and do my hair in cornrows. OK, I admit it, I'm still a fan of tacky.

My standing costume idea is "Carmen Sandiego."

If you can find the red trench coat, the rest is easy peasy. Might be too warm for working a shift though.

I love the M&M idea! Very cute. I really want to do a sailor girl, the problem is shoes. Shoes that are comfy enough for a 9+ hour shift are generally not cute. I'm in that weird in between stage with the bump too. It's very small and those who know I'm pregnant can tell, but those who don't know just think it's a muffin top. Maybe by Halloween it'll be a little bigger.

I have the same problem and have decided to do a fairy just because it is easy and inexpensive. I have a bright pink glittery semi formal dress that I'm wearing with ballet flats. Add matching fairy wings and a little sparkle and I'm done.

I did the sailor last year for work (wasn't pregnant though) and wore it with low cut socks and asics. It was still cute and soooo much more comfortable than the thigh highs and heels!

Can you make a kind of spat to go over the comfy shoes that look like sailor shoes?

I love Halloween. I love to go out downtown and look at all of the costumes and people watch. It's always so crazy but I am totally not up for that kind of scene pregnant. I am in bed asleep before anything even gets going!!

I did buy this shirt and I plan on wearing it to our family pumpkin carving party and out trick or treating.
