some of the things i have been trying to eat as my snacks:
hummus and pita chips or veggies
pb on [whole grain] toast (i sometimes use butter first if i need extra fat)
pb on [whole grain] waffles
cheese and crackers with apple slices
i've also been eating LUNA bars instead of my usual granola bars because they have so many vitamins and minerals in them. they are a little pricey but i found them on sale at my grocery store about a week ago and stocked up.

Here's what I enjoy snacking on right now:
Cheese and crackers
I think the only reason I haven't lost weight is because I am drinking a lot of sugary drinks (Sprite, Sweet Tea) and eating junk food. Blech.
I also eat a lot of fresh and dried fruit, pretzels, cereal, carrots. Most fruit though. Cantaloupe is my current favorite. And grapes. I craved fruit though most of my pregnancy with ds, and it's sorta looking like I might again with this one.
chips & salsa or hummus
crackers & cheese
pb w/ apples or celery or rice cakes or just on a spoon
veggies and dip
I don't like them, but if you do a boiled egg would make a great protein snack.
banana with pb
homemade trail mix (almonds, sunflower and pumpkin seeds, raisins, dates)
carrots and celery with dip
That's about it for snacks. Pretty boring lol. I want to make some beef jerky this week so I have some good protein to snack on. I'm finding myself increasingly hypoglycemic as this pregnancy progresses, and can't tolerate very many carbs by themselves. I REALLY wish I could eat dairy, that would help a lot with the protein (never mind that I'm craving it like MAD LOL).
Fruit Leather -- Amazon has decent prices and you get it cheaper with subscribe and save. Not cheap really, but satisfies me when I need something sweet and it's better than the Sour Patch kids I reach for otherwise.
Cottage cheese and canned fruit. Obviously the canned fruit isn't the absolute best, but it is fruit and it's only in light syrup. Protein, fruit,. and some sweetness, it works for me.
Pretzels/pretzel fish (the pepperidge farm ones are YUMMY!)
bagels and cream cheese,
natural peanut butter,
yogurt with flax and granola mixed in,
super food juice by odwalla,
protein powder (garden of life brand, it is vegan and doesn't have soy in it) mixed with fruit or juice,
And occasionally ice cream

I'm also eating a lot of toast, and apples, since they're in season and sooo good right now.

If I wait to long to eat I also feel very sick to the point that I dont even want to look at food.
I can tell I am loosing alot because my jeans that I couldnt fit into before pregnancy are now too big. I am kinda nervous to see what my dr will say on wednesday.
I usually loose 10lbs in the begining but by now I am slowly gaining it back. I am still nursing DS so I think that has alot to do with it. I really want to wean him now I just have not had the energy to yet lol.
Now that I can actually eat stuff without wanting to make porcelain telephone calls to my friend Ralph, my favorite snacks are:
- Hard boiled eggs
- Dole tropical fruit
- Cojack cheese
- Chocolate peppermint Luna bars
- Carrot sticks
- Frozen grapes
AND, in small amounts (because I know we all have our garbage go-to's)
- Frozen Tulip Street Bakery creampuffs
- Vanilla meringue cookies from Ms. Meringue
- Frozen Hershey Hugs (They last longer because you have to suck on them to make them melt, ditto with the creampuffs!)
On a whole, I have been eating less crap.

Bora Bora, Lara, Luna, and Kind bars.
I'll mash up a bunch of sweet potatoes and dress w/cinnamon butter and pecans.
I premake steelcut oats and add spices, brown sugar, and pecans.
Whey protein isolate/greek yogurt/banana shakes
2-3 oz cheese (gouda, provolone, cheddar)
Whole grain bread w/Nutella and peanut butter (a treat!)
Toasted whole grain waffle with cream cheese and tart jelly (after dinner treat/snack)
I pretty much split up my food into mini meals so I might eat three snack sized servings of 'lunch' foods.
I just found a recipe for homemade LARA Bars on the toddler forum, and made a batch of those. Everyone at my house really loved them, and I've found even just a bite or two is great for taking the edge off hunger. http://enlightenedcooking.blogspot.c...rs-part-3.html
Besides Larabars, I'm enjoying green smoothies (I can pack in everything I don't really feel like eating and hide it with bananas and blueberries.)
For a yummy dessert, last night I made Nourishing Traditions style fudge
DH(9/04) DS(12/08) and DD(5/11)
yogurt or cottage cheese with chopped apple/banana/pear
whole-wheat english muffins with cheese or cream cheese + jam
nuts + raisins
dried apricots (but go easy or you'll be sorry!)
smoothie (yogurt + frozen berries + banana + OJ)
granola-type cereal with banana, kiwi and milk
carrots and bell peppers with spinach dip
cereal (small bowls with milk or just dry)
fruit (lots of fruit! usually multiple kinds each day)
carrots with ranch
celery with pb
toast with jam, pb, or butter
nuts, raisins, or trail mix
granola (clusters or bars)
pretzels or plain chips
crackers and cheese
Mostly the same things as everyone else here. I try to mix it up though since this is the majority of my diet right now.
