Just something I've noticed. Morning activities require WAY more breaks and "stopping for breath" than any other time of day.
I don't really have certain things I only do in the morning, so I don't think that's it. But walking up the stairs will have me almost dizzy at 10 or 11am but 3 or 4pm it's no sweat.
Anyone else experience this? Theories?
I get the shortness of breath and racing pulse any time I go up the stairs. I know it's caused by the extra blood volume we carry around and our hearts have to work harder to deal with that. I'm not sure why it would only happen to you in the mornings though. Maybe someone else has experience with that. Either way, it's no picnic.
I wonder if you are a little bit dehydrated at night, thus resulting in you feeling dizzy/short of breath in the a.m. until you have enough time to drink more fluids during the day?
but a lesson must be lived in order to be learned.
and the clarity to see and stop this now
that is what i've earned (a.d.)
dehydrated plus your blood sugar is a little low maybe? What are you having for breakfast?
No fun though! I get winded sometimes going DOWN the stairs!
I've considered the dehydration...I drink a big glass of water first thing when I wake up, followed by whatever breakfast, and usually another glass of water not too long after.
Maybe that's not enough...? Maybe a glass of water by my bed at night.
OMG this is me! Except not just in the morning... ALL DAY! Some days are worse than others... I've had this with my other 2 pregnancies too though. The Dr said it was nothing to worry about- that my body is just tired... after all it IS growing a human being full time. However, he never did anything to check on it. If this pregnancy it continues to get worse I will probably have it checked. I do know that most of the time when I get full on dizzy it's because my blood sugar has dropped. If I have a sugary breakfast I HAVE to have something with lots of protein and some sugar within 2 hours or I'll be flat on the floor. The racing heart happens all the time. Even if I'm just laying in bed or on the couch I feel my heart pumping super strong. But aside from the fact that it's a-typical it doesn't worry me. I dont appear to be suffering at all from it, my BP is fine, my blood sugar is fine... I think I'm just damn tired from growing babies. lol. I can't imagine what it'll be like when I have 3 under 3! If you have any new symptoms or if it gets worse let me know... oh and also, I KNOW I'm dehydrated... I can never seem to drink as much water as I'd like to and I basically am in survival mode on the fluid front... I really need to work on drinking more throughout the day. I swear I'm just so busy it's hard to remember to drink!
