I got an email today about a promotion from Seven Slings. They are giving away free slings! You just have to pay shipping and you can order as many as you like. I ordered myself one in the Northern Lights pattern.
Did you measure to get the right size or just go with your height and weight? Just curious. I ordered one but measured first, hopefully it'll fit good cuz I didn't feel like paying more for insurance.

Wish I didn't rush to order one cuz they don't allow cancellations unfortunately and I'm not rich enough to go buy a different one. Oh well. Hope it'll be alright.
I almost got one just, but decided against it since I already have a ring sling that I like. Thanks for posting though. The baby center thread was helpful to know what people thought of the quality and sizing of the slings.
If you want to get a RS or other baby carrier and are on a budget, don't forget about buying used! Mothering has a FSOT (for sale or trade), as does thebabywearer.com and diaperswappers.com, all great places to look for an inexpensive RS, MT, SSC or wrap. And don't forget to check the FFS (free for shipping) sections, especially here on Mothering. There are a lot of generous hearted mamas who believe in babywearing and want to help other mamas in need. My first pregnancy a friend from my DDC sent me a Maya RS FFS because we were so broke, DH had been unemployed, we were living with my parents...it was bad. And that sling was such a blessing to me, I used it all the time!
Hey! Just wanted to say my sling came in the mail today.... so it wasn't a scam. I got the blue peacock feather looking fabric and I think it's pretty nice. I ordered a little small b/c I tend to loose a lot of weight with breastfeeding. I don't think it would work for a toddler, but should be fine for a while.
i got mine... no problems here either. seems nice enough to me. i see where someone could make one themselves (and i probably could too) but i won't so this will be great for the price. i got the green and white one.
I got mine today. It was the "black magic" one. It looks alright to me too. I probably wouldn't wanna use it once baby weighed more though. Since they had some really great ones on clearance at a few places, I feel a bit dumb for getting it but since it's already done; it looks like it'll be something to try anyway and it wasn't a TON of money or anything.
