DW and I are currently in the waiting game. My water broke this morning at 3:00 and contractions have not really started yet. I was having contractions this morning after the water broke but they stopped after I went back to sleep from 5:00-7:00am. DW and I went on a 2 mile walk and they started again, but stopped after taking a nap this evening. I am trying really hard to be patient, but patience isn't exactly my strongest attribute, lol.
My MW is on her way to listen to the baby and make sure everything is okay. She's comfortable with 72 hours passing between time of water breaking and the start of labor as long as I am not running a fever, stay hydrated, and don't put anything in my vagina. We're just going to take it easy tonight and DW is out renting a few episodes of Big Love and the movie Babies.
Hoping for labor to kick in tonight and a healthy baby girl soon. I am 39+4 today, due on 04/18.
Good luck! I had PROM with DD but my MW wanted me in labor by 24 hours so about hour 14 I took castor oil. I ended up with a long labor and pitocin... It I had PROM again I would wait a lot longer before trying to get labor going. It's good your MW is willing to wait! This has been helpful for me to read:

oh how exciting! I keep seeing people in my ddc having their little ones and can't wait for my water to break or at least to start contractions that stay steady! I hope you get to see your little one soon! My prayers will be with you!
