I am 33 weeks and I feel as though He has dropped.  I noticed that all my pants that buttoned before wont (I wear low rise capri's instead of maternity).  I had a C-section for my first so I used the scar to measure.  I noticed Friday that the scar is apart of the baby bump now.  I feel like I need to cross my legs even when I stand or walk.  I use the example of a ten pound wieght hanging from my cervix when people ask me what it feels like.  I am having a lot of hip pain (walking has become extremely painful) and swelling in my feet (mainly my left).  I have even noticed unusual movements against my cervix.  I am worried that my baby has dropped and I will have him early.  My doctor wants to aim for week 37 to do His C-section.  I dont think I am gonna make it!?!?

I hate calling the doctor because I feel like a hypocondriak (ya I spelled it wrong).  I dont see him for 9 more days!

I see this is your first post.  If you're 33 weeks I assume you're due in June?  Not that you can't post here but maybe you posted in May by mistake.  Don't worry about your baby engaging that can happen weeks before labor for some women :)

oh nevermind I see you're having a section at 37 weeks so that would be the end of May...why is it scheduled for so early?

I was wondering the same...37 weeks is pretty early even for a repeat c/s.

And some babies do drop early, as far as I know it doesn't mean labor will be soon.

My  little dude dropped today, and I am really hoping that "nothing" is EXACTLY what it means! Haven't checked myself as another means of denial. :)

My LO has definitely dropped - I would say dropped about a week ago at 35 weeks.  I was really surprised but it was quite evident, even DH agreed.  My midwife confirmed that the baby is really low, but not completely engaged in the pelvis.  This is my 5th baby so I wasn't expecting any drop for a few weeks, if even at all before labor.  I'm curious now if this babe may come early but still not expecting it :)

Mine has been riding low since about 35 weeks. He's trying to stretch out his escape route. I can actually feel him with his hands at his head pushing out with all his little might. On one hand, I think he's a jerk. On the other hand, I'm hoping this will make labour a lot faster. :)
