Aw, I thought 12 weeks was second trimester.  I was super excited (even though I've still got the nausea & fatigue & now I've got heartburn on top of it all), but now you tell me I've got to wait another week & 2 days???  irked.gif  I did think something was up when I realized that if 12 weeks makes a trimester there are 4 missing weeks somewhere.  lol.gif

Anyway, I'm happy for you...and can barely wait to join you.

Well, if it makes you feel any better, you could get really technical and say the 2nd trimester starts at about 13.5 weeks. Then you don't have to wait quite as long. winky.gif

I'll be 14 weeks in 8 days.  I've been feeling so much better too.  Having my 2nd check-up with my midwife today!

Can I just say that I hate how they tack on the 2 extra weeks...I wasn't pregnant those 2 wks.

All my emails I get from various pregnancy sites say the 2nd trimester ends at 13 weeks. Either way, we're all almost there (or there!)

Ha.  I love it.  In fact, IMO it's 3 bonus weeks, because technically you're not pregnant until implantation.  But I'll take whatever they'll give me to make me seem further along.  thumb.gif

I'm 13 weeks and my PG chart says I'm officially in the second trimester so I'll take it! ;) It's a great feeling to be past the super tires part ... my first appointment is next week and I am really looking forward to hearing the heartbeat.

I have always understood the 2nd trimester to start once you were IN the 14th week of pregnancy. Either way. I'm there. The limbo where you are in the safe zone, starting to show, and feeling so much better, but you dont really feel the baby yet so you don't have a whole lot of indication that things are okay. I always freak out during these weeks.

I always consider it to be 14 weeks, if only so I'm as "safe" as I can be, LOL. Total mind game. But I HAVE been feeling a better-rarely nauseous/queasy anymore, and possibly less tired?? Except today since DD woke up super early (does she not know it's SUNDAY!!??) I'll be 14 weeks on Tuesday, so almost there.

I think it's a limbo zone too. I'm fat enough to not fit into most of my pants, but not big enough to wear maternity yet, I tend to not feel movement until on the late side (23 and 19 weeks with the 1st and 2nd respectively). We did hear the HB at my last midwife visit on 12/30 at 12 weeks 2 days, but it's a LONG time until the next appt and since I probably won't feel it by then, or maybe JUST, I have a while until more actual confirmation that everything is OK.

This is what I've always gone by too.  Either way, I'm well into the 2nd trimester now, being 15 weeks tomorrow!  And I am feeling really good.  I love the 2nd tri!  Great sex, great appetite, more energy, growing tummy!  It's really the best part of the whole pregnancy IMO.

Yes! I am so happy to feel better! I got a prescription from my OB for medication for my acid reflux. The next day it went away! Go figure eyesroll.gif. The last few days I have been dry heaving first thing in the morning but not because I am nauseous. I don't know why. I have to eat as soon as I wake up or it happens (I mean DH has to bring me breakfast in bed eat.gif). I can handle it though because I don't feel sick.

I'm finally there!  YEAH!!!!!  I've had no morning sickness and the fatigue started to let up between 11 & 12 weeks so I'm feeling a little bit more perky than I was.

I'm telling you....I'm "too big" for my fat jeans, "too small" for maternity....they just slide right off even with a band sometimes.  I like my yoga pants but can't wear them to work.  The dog hair goes right through them and into my legs--ouch.

This is my first so I'm still as clueless as ever!

Just hit it yesterday and am thrilled to have some energy back.  I started to feel better around week 12, but then got two back to back colds with sinus infection/ ear infections curteousy of my toddler.  So excited to be feeling better and to have a little pooch!  I thought everyone could tell, but turns out no one can but my husband, myself, and my toddler who is definately noticing it pushing him out a little:)
