I'll have a humongous contraction that lasts about 60 seconds, and then for the next 5-10 minutes pretty strong menstrual-type cramping really low.

 

Why??  Someone please explain.  lol.gif

I don't have a specific answer for you, but I would just take it as a good sign that your body is warming up for birthing! Everyone's body does this differently. Some people have practice contractions for weeks and weeks, and some have no signs at all until their birthing day! So whatever you are experiencing, it's normal, if that makes sense.

sounds like early labor stuff. It should either go away or the big ones will start getting more frequent. Just do what ever makes you feel better. get some rest. take a shower. smile.gif
