My baby was born at 3:31am Sunday, July 10th, at the birthing center! I had been having contractions about 8 minutes apart since Friday night, and they finally picked up Saturday night after dinner. We went to the birthing center at 11:30pm and I was 5cm dilated and 100% effaced. We walked around outside in the landscaping and sat on the yoga ball for a while. At 7cm my water still hadn't broken but the bag was bulging, so my midwife broke it and then we got in the pool. Everything happened really quickly, and I only pushed for 20 minutes. DH caught her and pushed her underneath my legs so I could bring her up out of the water. We recovered quickly and came home at 7:30am, just a few hours after she was born. She is beautiful and perfect! She weighed 7lbs 3 oz and is 19 inches long - much smaller than we expected! Will post pictures soon. We named her Arianna, and we will call her Aria.

Please always research the safety of vaccines even if your doctor tells you they are harmless!
Here she is! Apparently she looks exactly like DH when he was born, except smaller. Still can't tell what color her eyes are going to be - they look dark gray now. (Mine are blue and DH's are brown, but a lot of his family members have blue eyes.) But she's beautiful!
