and she's named after a strong, kind, spirited friend of mine who just passed away. Her facebook page is still up. Her name is still on my email list. Her picture is still in my room. How can she be gone? And how do I live with this huge hole in my heart? Every time I say my daughter's name I remember her.

So sorry momma.
My best girlfriend passed unexpectedly last year and it is so hard.
My son is named after her son.
Words just don't seem to be able to touch the feelings that this situation creates.
Good thoughts being sent your way.

I'm so sorry. I have to believe that all who pass on are still with us, because it is the only thing that helps me get through the pain of losing so many loved ones. When you say your daughter's name....know that your friend hears you and feels closer to you than ever. I choose to believe that your friend is not too far away and knows how much you care..........I hope you can find some comfort in that.

I hope the pain in the reminder of the name will be replaced with the joy and happiness your friendship had.

I understand exactly what you mean. I see my late husband in the faces of our son and the dedication my 19 year dd has tattoo'd on her back to her father.
