Do you do anything special on Mother's Day to remember mom (or grandmother) who has passed?

Last year was the first Mother's Day that I had without my mom.  My father, who was divorced from my mother but still cared for her very deeply, suggested I plant a fruit tree in her old garden.  The garden was mostly overgrown, since she had neglected it in recent years.  We bought an apple tree and planted it (my husband, 17 year old brother and myself), and it still makes me happy to see it.  It recently started blooming, and even though it wasn't supposed to bear fruit yet, it had apples on it last year, so I know it will again this year.

Now that I'm pregnant with my first child, I suppose Mother's Day will take on new meaning... but I'm not sure I'll ever be able to really enjoy it without my mother.
