hi-
i am hoping to gain some info about support for a family member who has just lost their dear 2mo old daughter to SIDS.
my husband's uncle is remarried and the father of the little girl is his stepson. while my dh and i don't know the parents of baby isabella that well, our uncle and his wife are seriously hurting over this loss. they would often care for the baby during the day, so the sudden absence is so hard to cope with.
i appreciate any ideas/thoughts you might have. i tried to find a SIDS support organization in their area - any other support organizations you can think of for grieving family members?
thanks in advance-
jennifer

My 2 month old Son, Carson died of SIDS 7 years ago & the SIDS foundation of Washington has helped my family tremendously. Another good resource is the compassionate friends.

You can call the SIDS Foundation of Washington: 509-456-0505 or 206-548-9290 & they can help you locate a similar support group in your (thier) area.

Here are some links:

http://www.sidsfamilies.org

http://www.sidsofwa.org

http://www.compassionatefriends.org

http://www.sidsalliance.com

http://sids-network.org

& this is a link to my Sons page:

Much love & strength to you & yours.

Thanks Mama... I hope some of that information is helpful to you & yours.

I know that if my constant reminders of 'Backs are the best place for Babies to sleep' & that if I make one single person that has felt this loss feel a little better, even if for a moment, my Sons life was not in vain & I am honoring him. Thanks for making me feel good Mama!
