I don't know your specific situation, but IME it gets easier a tiny, tiny bit at a time - so subtle that you don't even notice until it is quite a ways down the road. And even then, something like a song or image will set you off. It is a two steps forward, one step back type of thing I think.

Two of my major losses happened 26 and 24 years ago. I don't even cry on my one day per year that I used to have an annual big sob fest. It is interesting to me that memories and photos that used to make me cry now make me smile. It has been a long road though.

I'm so sorry. I have experienced a lot of tragedy in my family in the last few years and all I can say is time. Lots and lots of time will make it hurt a little less. I know that won't make you feel better now but your life will seem livable again.

I wish i could make you feel better. Take care mama.

I needed to second this.

The tears change with time. It however, requires time to get to this point. Find ways to help it pass to better days - it helps.

This is exactly it. One day you will realize you don't feel that overwhelming, crushing grief. It does take time.
