I'm trying to decide which one to get DD. If I get one. We got a surprise giftcard to Amazon and I think she'd really like one. But I'm torn...

Anyone have one of these? Both of these? Reviews?

We had both. Unless they've changed the design, the elevator on the garage breaks pretty quickly. ANd DH is very handy. He was able to repair it once, but that was it. That said, DS didn't play with the airport too much. Not open ended enough, or maybe he wasn't into planes enough? Not sure.

WE have the plan city garage. It gets played with every day by my two kids and any friends we have over. That and our wooden kitchen are our favorite toys. I don't know about the airport. But I love the garage, no problems with the elevator so far.
You can't go wrong with plan toys in my opinion.
Have fun!

We have the garage and my kids love it, but the elevator on ours broke right away. We have not been able to fix it. But my kids still love it anyways.

Same issue w/the elevator. I wished that I loved the garage more-ds really wanted it last year. It just didn't work out well in his play.

Thanks so much for all the tips.

Sounds like the garage elevator is a problem. Did any of you contact Plan Toys about it? They've been sooo good in the past whenever we've had issues with their toys.

Anyway, despite the great customer services, I think we're going to get the Airport in an attempt to steer away from any potential issues. Plus, DD looooooves airplanes, airports and flying.

We had the airport. DS just never "clicked" with it, despite an airplane obsession at the time (we bought it for him when he was 4). The control tower broke pretty easily. Somehow, despite our expectations, it just never became a very loved or played with toy.

Same issue here with the garage, but it didn't matter that much. Ds still loved it, even when the elevator stopped working. And it's a nice-looking toy, pleasant to have around the house. He's 4.5 now and it still gets incorporated into play now and then.

We have the garage, no problems with the elevator either. DS plays with it sometime, and always if another kid comes over. He got it at 2, IMO too early. He is 3 now.

Why would you say two is too early?

DD is only two, so I'm curious....

We have the garage and our elevator gets stuck quite a bit. ?It takes some fiddling with but we can fix it. It just isn't a smooth ride for the cars.
Otherwise it gets played with a lot!
