dd1: "we need to milk her."

dd2:  "yes, we need to milk her dead body."

A minute later:

dd2:  "They are harvesting her body."

dd1:  "and she fainted."

orngtongue.gif  I'm not making this up.  I only wish I could have typed this verbatim.  Always entertaining!

Maybe that one was a bit too far out of context.  Actually it was *because* it was completely unexpected that made it so funny.  If my monster-loving 7yo had brought it up, I don't even think it would have registered, but it came from my sugar-and-spice 5yo.  We have been seeing far too much death with our cats and chickens in the last few months-- 3 chickens to bury in the course of a week just recently :(  (I mention that just in case anyone is thinking "what are they watching on TV?????")

But mainly I was hoping that others might have something else to share from from their own kids.

Overheard this morning between 3 and 4 year olds, and their 4 year old cousin...

DD4: Do you take this man to be your awfully wedded wife?

Nephew: NO.

DD3: Too bad, {Nephew}, you's are awfully wedded now!

DD4: Yeah, you're married now, so kiss your man wife!

I peeked in to see what exactly they were marrying him to. Apparently their giant pink stuffed dog is not only a man, but is now a "man wife." And it's awful.

In a fairly complicated drama that evolved between my 2 dds, the younger one played an orphan shark who was evil but had been turned good by a lovely lonely heroine (older dd of course)  and now wanted her to adopt him in secret.  For some reason, no one could know all this, giving rise to the following dialogue.

dd2:  I can come and live with you?  But how could I, I need somewhere to live, and no one can know!

dd1:  It's ok, we have a huge secret shark tank in the basement that no one ever checks on because they're afraid there might be sharks in it.  You can stay there and I can visit you every day!
