My son is picky about socks (and pants, but that's another thread). I'm actually finding it harder as his feet get bigger, to find socks that don't bug him. He likes them short (like quarter length) and plain white (athletic style). The ones I see now cover like 4 shoe sizes and seem ENORMOUS, but then the next size down barely fits. So any tips on where to look? So far we've struck out at Target and Sports Authority type stores. I'd love to order online if we can.

thanks!

p.s. In case it wasn't clear, he wears about a size 4 shoe.

Sock sizing is one thing I just cannot figure out!  They are usually too big until you get to the outer limit of the size and then the next size up is just giant!

This is normal. And crazy. All socks cover a wide range of sizes until you get to size 13 (my husband wears those ones).

I'm sorry I don't have any advice on where to get socks. Just know we are all in the same boat. shrug.gif

Try women's socks for him. If he's a size 4, he's a women's size 6, and women's socks might fit better than men's. They're often less bulkly. There's a girls size 13-6 that might fit him better until his feet get a little bigger.
