My daughter is moving beyond the chipmunks, or Happy feet soundtrack, to songs like Katy Perry, Justin Beiber (thankfully she does not idealize yet), that song 'Call me Maybe'. first I thought of creating a mix CD from ITunes, Which I do not even know what I have to do for that. Is it easy? I usually work on my iPad, but have a pc with a read write drive. would it be the same quality as a store bought cd? then I thought of going to a web site and having it done for me with my picks. Any suggestions as to a good web site?

the final alternative is to get one already made. any suggestions?

This would be a great Birthday gift:treehugger

honestly i would rather get her an ipod or an mp3 player. dd has had hers since she was 5 along with a player so she really doesnt listen on headphones except lately. we threw in her favourites along with our suggestions. between free and bought music i think she has a huge number on her mp3 player (she likes what I myself listen to so she mostly these days uses my ipod with headphones once in a rare while).

but you CAN do the CD from home and it can have great quality. i have done these as bday favors when dd was little.

i dont know of any websites, however i can tell you what my almost 10 year old likes (thankfully NOTHING justin beiber).

she is a huge fan of adele, pink. i think she has gotten over taylor swift but your dd might like her. she also loves goldfrapp (not sure if your dd might like this), and death cab for cutie.

she still enjoys the beatles, some rolling stones.

many of the hunger games soundtrack (has read the book but not watched the movie yet)

black eyed peas

the fray

leonard cohen

a lot of folk music (mostly from africa - putumayo CDs)

some classical - only those with a 'beat' like beethoven's 5th
