I will be watching a 10 year old girl and a 7 year old boy as well as my 4 y/o boy and 7 y/o girl for a few weeks. They play well together but will be spending a lot of time together so I would like to have some activities lined up for when they get tired of each other. We will be playing outside a lot in the yard, going to a local park that has sprinklers, watching the occasional movie, as well as some kind of art or craft. I would love to do some things that all of them would like. Any ideas would be great! I think I will be a zombie at the end of the two weeks!
How about the library? Our local library has "game day". They have all kinds of board games for the children. They could check out books and read the books they chose. We have a tent set up in our house. The kids like to read scary strories with a flashlight. You could have a cooking lesson. My kids love when they can help cook. They love making their own mini pizzas. Puzzles are fun relaxing activity. Are they any local museums in your area? A local pool? My kids like writing letters/cards to different family members (especially the ones that live far away). It is a nice way to brighten up someone's (maybe a grandparent?) day. Scavenger hunts are fun. You could do some easy science experiments like making a rocket with soda and mentos. The kids can also help out with daily chores to keep them busy. Hope that helps!
