Hello! DS, 7, still wears a pull-up at night and has had maybe 2 dry nights since daytime toilet-learning around age 2.5. We're eager to see what he/we can do about this. Can anyone recommend a book of what to try--dietary changes, going without anything at night to see when he pees, waking him up to pee at night, etc.? We would like a plan. Of course, we know that this may be something that simply takes time for him to grow out of, and we're okay with that, but it's time to see what we can do. Thanks!
My one boy wasn't dry a night at that age. I just kept buying pull ups until about a month ago, and I told him we were going to try without-- he got to pick the day we started. I bought a waterproof pad for the bed from a hospital supply.
We wake him at our bedtime, about 2-3 hours after he goes to bed. He's been dry, surprisingly, every night. I don't know how much longer I'll wake him at night, because that will be the next hurdle, because he's not waking himself up nor is he really "awake" when I get him up.
My son is not quite 8 1/2.
Often there's a constipation tie-in. We're struggling with this now.
