As I understand it, they passed a new law in Russia requiring car seats
Wow, that's surprising. But in a good way, of course

May I ask if any of you ever worried about consuming certain foods like raspberries, milk, etc? Do you think it's okay to make tea with tap water? Suddenly, I'm all worried about it.

Generally, no (although I always checked the cherries for worms--which I found pretty often ). I also drank tap water run through a filter (I think it was a Brita).

Milk from stores is pasteurized & ok The stuff out of the tanks on the street and from the neighbor's cow-- obviously at your own risk, although I had some last year from neighbor's cow and was okay-- just in tea. I knew it was from that morning though

But what about radiation? That's what I'm concerned about (should have mentioned that). I heard about milk because the cows eat the grass, etc. Raspberries and such because they grow above ground, etc.

I don't know-- are you going to be near Chernobyl? I was always in Petersburg and don't worry about it. I think it would only be a problem maybe in those areas that were contaminated but I don't know much about these things.

here's the site where you can download Russian cartoons-- I think from N America only in the evening and from Europe late at night
