We're not into expensively, lavish birthday parties, but I love to be creative and have fun with the kiddos and parents, but this year, I'm coming up with nuttin'. (It's got to be pregnancy brain!) I've asked my son for ideas about what he wants to do for his birthday (which is in a few weeks) and his opinion changes each day. Anyone throw a fun birthday party that you'd like to share with me? Theme ideas, cake ideas, decoration ideas...all are welcome! Of course, I'll get my son's approval first I'm sure once he has some ideas thrown his way, he'll pick something, but I'm just not doing so hot so far and time is a wasting.

Thanks! Missy

Pirates? Maybe have a treasure hunt? You can have pictures to color. Puzzles. You can do craft to make eye patches and the such.

What about a Creepy Crawly Icky Sicky party? You could make a big cake that is in a flowerpot, with the icing coated with crushed Oreos and gummy worms. Party activities could include making goo (which the kids could take home in those cheap little plastic containers) or playing What's that Thing? (put stuff like sandpaper, cold noodles, a wet sponge, etc. in a paper bag, have kids feel around, and guess what it is.
