My friend's son is almost 6 and just lost his first tooth. She said he has been acting kind of strange for the last few days-like he was upset about something and when she discovered the loose tooth he seemed upset and didn't want to talk about it.
It finally came out tonight and he cried and cried and tried to put it back in. Then he threw up because he was so upset.
Has anyone else had a similar problem?
Thanks.

My dd couldn't wait to lose hers but her friend was over here when hres was about to come out and she was realy sad about it. I don't know how to explain it or what to do about it. It was of the funnest parts of childhood for me but I can see how a chiold would find it disturbing.

The truest answer to violence is love. The truest answer to death is life. The only prevention for violence is for the heart to have no violence within it.  We cannot prevent evil through any system devised by mankind. But we can grapple with evil and defeat it, but only with love—real love.

My dd has lost 2 teeth already and has two more loose teeth. She was excited about it because kids in her class lost teeth already. We did get a cute book about loosing teeth it is called Wibble Wobble, the main charchter is a boy who is waiting for his tooth to fall out. Arthur also has a cute video and book about loosing his tooth. I tackle evry childhood situation with a book it has worked for us. We just have to find one about flushing toilets and toilets overflowing my dd makes herself sick about the toilet.

I feel for your friends ds, if you think about it, it is kinda scary thing I have heard some kids get scared about teeth falling out because they are waitng for other body parts to fall out. Really what a tough life our children have all these new things happening all the time. Poor little guy. Hope you get some good advice for your friend.
