Okay, so we plan on putting more purpose into Christmas this year, but still want to get the kids a few things, not to mention realitives are asking us what to get the kids. The problem is they have SO MUCH STUFF already. We have hundreds of books, tons of building toys, lots of puzzles, magneatos, marble works, play kitchen, train sets, etc. etc. etc.

Any suggestions for gift ideas?

My five year old is autistic and devlopmentally much younger. So... HELP ME!

We usually suggest memberships too, but we will only be living in this state for another few months, and wouldn't get much use out of them. We aren't sure about places we would like in the new state we are moving to.. soo..

Does your son need anything for therapy? This site has a lot of cool stuff (Pocket Full of Therapy) -- everything from weighted vests to fine motor stuff.

What about clothes?

Would people go together for one big gift? I covet the indoor swing from One Step Ahead (they also have a cool hanging chair).

What about outdoor toys? Ride on toys? Sleds or skis?

What about "lessons" of some sort -- like hippotherapy or something like that, which you could use before you move.

Wow, that indoor swing is awesome! My son would love it!! We have tons of outdoor toys, and don't plan on taking them with us when we move. We are moving cross country in March, so we don't want to buy any big items. It's to warm here to sled or ski. What's hippotherapy?

Thanks for the suggestions, ladies! Keep them coming.

How about these?

I am considering getting some for my children. They are adorable and encourage imaginative play. Good Luck.

Christmas is sooo difficult for me. My kids already have so much stuff and my mom goes CRAZY with gifts. I would love to get something like a museum or aquarium membership, but no one listens. They keep buying toys with lots of pieces that will not make it to New Years. My dh and I have been putting a lot of thought into the presents from us this year. I am not going to add to the chaos that they call their rooms!LOL
