Our son has been 'diagnosed' with this, mostly underfunctioning of the vestibular system. The OT is recommending 2 days a week of therapy, plus daily work at home. He is 6. Does anyone have stories, experiences to share?

My daughter doesn't have that diagnosis and I'm not certain she'd qualify for it, but she certainly has some sensory issues. Her SLP has given us some great suggestions actually. Great books if you haven't read them"

"The Out of Sync Child" and "Sensational Kids"

Fairly helpful website:

I would also suggest you post this question over at the special needs board. There are many moms of kids with SPD over there who will be able to offer you a ton of experience and suggestions.

Thanks Ann, I had forgotten about the special needs forum, and it didn't come up under a search. I must not know all of the correct terminology yet
I had just ordered both of those books before I posted here, I'm glad to here they are good ones.
Scooting over to the right forum...
