Just curious, about what time does your 9 year old go to sleep, and around how many hours of sleep does she need?

Ahhh my 9 year old. It's 10pm here and he's still up. Given the opportunity to set his own bedtime, he'll stay up until 4am, sleep in until afternoon and then be a BEAR all day.

He's usually in bed by 10, though I'm stretching it tonight so he can watch a show I won't let him watch with his younger brothers around, and he usually wakes up around 7-8am.

She goes to bed at 8:30 on school nights and 9:30 on weekends. She wakes up around 6:30, so she gets anywhere from 9 to 10 hours of sleep, which is a sufficient amount for her.

weekdays she goes to bed at 9 & then reads until she falls asleep. Last night she was still reading at 10, but asleep by 11 when the tooth fairy came to visit.lol I wake her up by 7:30-7:40.

Weekends she usually goes to bed around 12 & wakes up around 8.

They all go to bed at 8 (or sooner for the baby). My almost 9 year old stays up until 8:15 or 8:30 reading. She sleeps until 7:30. I tend to decide on bedtime by what time they have to get up in the morning. If they have a hard time getting up in the morning, they must need to go to bed sooner. That's how we do it, anyway.

I'm a big stickler about bed time and going to bed at the same time every night. They can stay up until 9 on the weekends or later on special occasions.
