My DD has literally started to pee through her diapers (perfolds) and cover in one pee. She is completely dry one minute and 15 minutes later there are wet spots everywhere. I have decided that I am going to make some doublers. My plan is to make and hourglass shape to reduce the bulk in the center (there is already plenty of that) and then sandwich microfiber in between a Gerber prefold. Do you think one or two layers of fabric between baby and microfiber is enough? I have heard how it can dry out the baby's skin and I deffinantly don't want to do that. Any other suggestions of good absorbent materials to use? I have been using infant prefolds but I don't want the bulk and I don't want to cut them down, I'm saving them for next baby. Would it be a good idea to use a cut of fleece against baby's skin so it would wick away?
