I'm not sure what to make my son this year, but last year he was a baby carrot...

Anyone else have some cute home-sewn halloween costumes? I'm thinking I might make him an alien this year & am experimenting with some green knit fabric.

That is too cute!

I need to get my rear in gear and start on costumes. Kat want's to be a pumpkin ,that on should be easy. Tasha wants to be a chef ,again this should be easy (I figure make an apron and chef hat) I am going to be 39 weeks PG on halloween and need to dress up for work, this is the one I am having a hard time coming up with.

Omg! What a cute baby and costume!

For you, Vulturemom, what about you being a cat, but your belly is a goldfish bowl? Picture the cat "over" the "fishbowl". No idea how to make it. Just an idea that popped into my head.

That is one cute little carrot.

DS's first year (9 mo) he was the sun.

The next year (21 mo) he was an elf.

Last year (2 1/2 yo) he was a horseshoe crab.

oooh! I love the horseshoe crab!! very clever.
This year DS wants to be luke skywalker and DD wants to be a dog. I'd love a bigger challenge, but at least I'll have them done in time!
Here are my photos from past years.
My favourite is the garbage truck - DS helped to paint and build the truck, we had a fun time making it!

Oh, that horseshoe crab is cute! And love the dump truck! We are actually still using the carrot part of the costume as a sleep sack, although it is finally getting a little snug.

Okay, I finished this year's alien costume & love it! I need to remake the hat so it is a bit bigger, & maybe add some antennas..
