I decided that this Christmas we are going to forgo the commercial gifts for more meaningful homemade gifts for the boys. Our projects for this yr (DH and I) are

Wooden Dollhouse (customized for the boys)

Wooden animals similar to the holtzeranimals. Assort farm and wild animals maybe a few boats/vehicles.

I bought some white silk scarves from Dharmas trading Co. this yr and have yet to dye them with koolaid for a Rainbow scarves to add to our solid scarves

DS was enamored with a metal ironing board I had when I was a little girl . Unfortunately it was broken and the iron long gone. DH might try to make this wooden ironing board/iron or something similar

The boys look cooking/baking so I am making new aprons for them in assort. prints. They have some already but absolutely love having matching aprons

I also have a few other sewing projects, flannel pjs, stocking kit for DS#2, and an advent calendar similar to one that pottery barn had last yr from felt. I was planning on using felt to make a christmas tree and sew on 25 buttons and will make the ornaments for each day a piece of the nativity story. We have a book that has 25 "chapters" each with a piece of the nativity story. So for example on the day they talk about the angel appearing to the shephers Im making a felt sheep to hang on the button on the felt tree.
