Anybody know of a good pattern or tutorial for making a (boys) toddler pea coat. I have a grey wool blanket that I really want to make my son a coat from. Is there any way I could draft a pattern from and existing coat if it is not the same kind? How would I go about making my own pattern for something like this? I have done it for pants and shirts and dresses, but a coat seems like it may be more complicated.

Student and aspiring midwife mama to Angel: and Iris. Expecting a new sometime near Halloween! I am a all the way!!!!!

Oliver+S's new fall patterns include a pea coat. It's very cute.

Vegbee has this super-cute jacket pattern:

Her etsy shop for her patterns is on hold right now while she moves, though.

That is way cute! I wish her shop was open because I really wanted to get the jacket done by winter.

Honestly - try emailing her. Contact her through her blog. I've emailed her a question before and she responded fairly quickly. She might not be ready to have her shop open, but she might still be able to sell you a pattern.
