Hello!

I've recently purchased a pre-sewn muslin doll form, stuffed it and have sewn on make-shift eyes/nose with heavy thread...but the hair eludes me. I have some heavy yarn selected to use, just no clue how to attach and look nice. Also, I was unable to find any organic/natural fill option, so settled for poly-fill--anything out there better? And I'm not 100% on the mouth--suggestions?

The doll is for my one-year-old daughter. I'm not the most domestic/artsy/crafty person, so any help is better than where I'm at, and much appreciated!

Kathleen

for doll hair, you can wrap the yarn back and forth along a ruler or something like that and then cut the loops, to make the hair even. then i lie the hair over a strip of paper and sew at the part. I usually do two like this- one i sew onto the top of the head and the other perpendicular up the back. then i trim the bangs and put the other side over the back and split the back section at the part to tie into pigtails.
i use a large needle to sew the "wig pieces" onto the head.
