Ok, what are we making the moms for mother's day?

I wish I would have thought of this sooner! We could have set up a swap
heeheee

Ok, I'll be making some cards for my mom
some hand salt scrub for clean up after gardening
some healing salve for moisturizing after gardening

But I am at a loss for MIL

Anyone have any ideas and or suggestions?
I have made them sleeping bean bath kits for the last two holidays, so I need to come up with something new!

HELP

I am making salt scrubs, soap, and bath bombs

make some soap that is new for you isn't it?? everyone loves homemade soap...well my mom keeps using the soap i made for decorating but I am going to put a note on teh scrub that I didn't add preservatives so she *HAS* to use it..heh but I may add some citric acid to be on the safer side....

I'm making bracelets with their granddaughter's name on them. Actually pretty cool looking: I'm stringing sterling letter cubes with some chunky turquoise and glass beads.

Abimommy - I'd love to know how to make bath bombs!

Everytime I make bath salts they get really hard in the jar and I have to scrap the salts out. Is this from the essential oils??? Otherwsie the jars are dry!

My dd and I are making her grandmothers oatmeal soap on a rope for after gardening. I got the ideas from Family Fun Magazine. I would love to hear what other ideas everyone has.

Avery, you should make a gardening salt scrub and gardening hand salve to go with that!

The salt scrub is basically a jar with Sweet Almond Oil and Lots of SALT!!! Then add some fragrance. It scrubs teh dirt off the hands, and moisturizes, while smelling yummy!

The salve is just to heal the damaged skin

I'm new her and being on a budget, I would love to know how to make the salve, oatmeal soap and the scrub. I am the least crafty person and have not made very many things (well at least not successfully), so please be very specific with the ingredients and if possible, any ideas on where to purchase them. My stepmother loves to garden and I would love to make this for her this year.

Thanks for all the tips,
the uncrafty crafter. :

OK, its too late for Mother's Day, but there are always birthdays... My daughters painted terra cotta plant pots and planted pansises in them for me for Mother's Day. You could decoupage them, too. I thought it was a great gift. You could also make picture frames (lots of ways to do this) and put pictures of the kids in them.
