I am looking for an 18-24month shirt, in grey color. And I dont want to pay $8 to have it shipped!

Where is the best place to get ONE shirt without paying a crazy price?

What about trying your local thrift store/salvation army/consignment store? I own a childen's resale store & take shirts off the racks all the time to embelish/applique, etc.

Wal-Mart and Target usually have pain shirts for under $5, but the colors are un-predictable. If you're looking for a girl, don't forget to check the boy's section. The shirts there usually lack the pleats and gathers of girls shirts, which can make them easier to embellish. I think you're also more likely to find gray there.

I'd love to find a good reliable cheap source for decent plain shirts too.

I've already checked walmart, target and bells, the closest old navy is 1/3 hour away (but I love old navy so I might have to find an excuse to head out that way).

For this project it needs to be new, although I do upcycle a lot from an awsome thrift store here.

Anyone know of a place online?

AC Moore sells blank shirts. Not sure if they have grey but they do have different colors. Other craft stores near you would probably have them, too.

Michaels and JoAnn have blank t-shirts, but I think the ones at Target tend to be cheaper and little less generic.
