Okay, rere, you have the cutest gifts. I want to be on your gift list!

rainbowmoon -- the tea bag holder is darling. Are you going to make it?? I'd be curious to hear if it was easy to make or not!

I'm going to do about 15 loaves of banana bread for coworkers and a few friends.

I don't sew nor am I very crafty. But I've got one family I give gifts to - mom and dad, 5 yo girl, 3 yo girl, infant boy.

I'm thinking of those no sew fleece blankets for the kids. That I can handle! I've looked up instructions online, but there seem to be a lot of variations. What is the best way to make them?

And more importantly, how much fleece? I want to make a size that's more of a throw/cuddle blanket (for when watching TV or reading) rather than something big enough to cover a bed.

Thanks!

The blankets my kids have are about 1.5m along each side. They are big enough for curling up on the sofa with a bit of growing room and they are able to sleep under them when we camp while not being so big that the kids can't spread them out themselves.

The only thing I would add is that I found fleece blankets cheaper than buying fleece, it's worth checking out. I don't have a lot of choice locally for fabric.

I started and finished my first gift LOL. A knit cable hat in a beautiful turqouise for a friend. The same friend that I had planned to do the purse for and ended up giving it to her for her bday LOL. So ONE gift completly done! YAY!!!! Now I'm thinking of doing the same hat in white for another girlfriend. It's a super quick easy knit and looks fantastic. Can't really go wrong!

Thanks! No,I don't sell it.I was thinking about offering up some in a craft swap here on MDC.

So glad to hear the positive comments on the bacon. It was the food I was the least sure about.Last time I made bacon I had my husband here(he's in Brazil right now) to tell me.I kept bringing him prototypes and he would say"not bacon-y enough"or more fat".It was hilarious.

I will so be making those! I have scrap yarn and jingle bells needing to be used up

I was about to start my friends hat and dd took a liking to the one I already made, so I'm in the process of making her a red one for fall. I had hoped to get it done driving to my dh's family reunion but forgot my cable needle at home

thank you ladies for providing all this inspiration!

I bought some undyed organic cotton yarn...

should I dye the yarn before knitting or after? Im going to try using beets to dye it pink.

I just finished holiday scart number four! Yeah!

Now, I have to finish the small quilt I made for my mom. I've got the top all pieced together. I've just got to quilt it. I think I'll get to it once my kiddos start school next week.

You are all inspiring and I love keeping up with this thread!

I've been lurking..

Maybe a good heavy canvas like material in a medium brown and sponge paint darker and lighter browns and tans to give it a textured look...

Hmm fairy tree house, DD would probably like that.

How about a tree stump, with corduroy bark and a lighter top with stitching for the tree rings. Maybe some ivy growing up the strump and I think it would need some little toadstools growing round the bottom.
