I have some merino wool jersey but am looking for something thicker for baby blankets, puddle pads, and such for the new baby on the way. Anyone know an affordable source?

You can find wool interlock, which gets quite thick when fulled in the washer, here: www.naturesfabrics.com This would be good for blankets and anything coming in direct contact w/ the baby.

or maybe the 100% wool melton from fabric.com for the puddle pads.

Thanks! I've used interlock before but it's becoming impossible to find it inexpensively! $25 a yard plus shipping. Yikes! It was much cheaper last time I bought it. Anyone know any less expensive sources?

for smaller stuff you could felt sweaters- my goodwill usually has huge men's merino wool ones for cheap and even felted- the fronts and backs are pretty big.
