OK, this is such an odd problem:

I found this really cute pattern in a Knitter's magazine for blocks for an infant--you knit up a block, stuff it with wool, and felt it. The directions they give are for a washing machine with an agitator. But of course, ours is a European front-loader (gotta boil those diapers!) An aquaintance at school says in passing that she doesn't think it'll work except in a top-loader.

Has anybody tried felting in a front-loader? Is is at all possible? Any tips?

Otherwise, I have a lovely knit 'block'... :
