My niece is into all of the high tech toys and I am needing to make homemade gifts this year.  Any ideas for homemade gifts for an 11 yo girl?

Thanks.

iPod cozy? Fingerless gloves to stay warm and play with things at the same time? Something with her favorite brand logo or game character on it sewn on it? I'm mostly knitting hats for everybody, myself.

I think most girls like spa stuff.  bath fizzy bombs, soaps, glitter body gel, etc.

maybe a funky cool hair clip.  like a satin flower hair clip?  they are quite easy to do and SO cute and in style.

I made some hair clips using her tips, but more in this style:

The key to making it look more like a real flower is to stagger the petals like the second etsy link, rather than put them directly in the middle like the headband tutorial.  You can buy guinea feathers at Hobby Lobby and satin is VERY cheap.  You can leave the feathers off too if it looks more kid appropriate that way.

I made those for all my kids' teachers.

XOXO

Knit legwarmers with a row of mismatched buttons down the side?  That's what I'm making my 11 yo niece, lol.

I made mine a purse and filled it with lip gloss, some hair bands, etc.
