I believe I am at 11/52.

I finished the quilt top- now I need to get it quilted (in less than a week-YIKES)

I made a nightie

And I made some grocery bags

Oh and a knitting needle roll.

Next up- finish painting the barn and finish up my sewing studio.  Angelorum- I made pair or the tiny bloomers- awesome and decided to make a top that is a bit different and I am kind of stuck on the top.  i should have used a pattern I guess.  Yours turned out beautiful!

I finished ds's mittens yesterday.

but I also received a rather large demerit in the mail today.

<a href="http://www.flickr.com/photos/10794308@N02/5457722064/" title="IMG_1227 by etchorusangelorum, on Flickr"><img src="http://farm6.static.flickr.com/5133/5457722064_969e1acce8.jpg" width="500" height="375" alt="IMG_1227" /></a>

It's all for one project, though I'll probably have leftovers, so I'm just counting it as one.  At least I mailed off two skeins of yarn for a swap the other day, right?  :bag

8/52 still.

Angel I can see the pics... cute mittens and I LOVE all cotton yarn....

I decided to try my hand at some drawing/sketching so I am now the proud owner of a sketch book and adult colored pencils.  Maybe it will be theraputic?  And hopefully I can teach myself a new skill!

I have a couple uber stressful weeks coming up.  Family will be visiting next weekend so the week leading up to and the week after are rough.  I hope to get some projects done and try out those new pencils soon!

Congrats heather on the babe!

HI  I'm back and completing UFO's

1. Desk assembled (Jan.)

2. Pink blanket (Jan.)

3. Completed hanging pictures (Jan.)

4. 26 valentines for DS swap (Jan.)

5. Scrap yarn blanket (Feb.)

6. Red Scarf (Feb.)

I think I am going to try to finish this red scarf next. Its been waiting about a year now.  I also went and bought more yarn at the craft store yesterday. I have no self control UGH.  One explainable bin has expaned back into TWO bins.  However the scrap yarn blanket is going with someone to their office tomorrow, glad to be adding a bit of color to a blank slate!

I also did my taxes today!  I can not buy craft supplies with the refund - lol

Updated and finished the red scarf tonight.  Thats 2 UFO's completed tonight ...

Oh good, I'm not the only one with this problem! OK so far this year I've completed exactly zero projects. I have 22 projects listed on my short to do list, so I'll start there. One is SUPER close to being done, it's a gift for my partner, and I bet I can finish it tonight if I get motivated. I hope posting that on here keeps me motivated!

OH, and just wanted to point out that the list of 22 will be growing but NOT because I'm adding stuff, more because I'll be getting my more complete list together. I'm a little afraid of what that list will look like!

I started a new crochet project today.  I seem to love making blankets.  This one looks like mocha yarn. So thick and chunky, its working up fast!  None of my UFO's seemed appealing.  I will have some time in the coming months to work on stuff. DS is taking swim lessons in March- 30 mins and there is a chance he will be doing Saturday  classes at the university, those are THREE hours for 6 weeks.  Maybe then I will feel like cross stitch Lol.  We are also considering a kids pottery class.

Welcome, Melholik!  I've never made a full list of my to-do's.  I don't want to know.  wink1.gif  I just have short-term, "do this first" lists.  smile.gif

Congratulations, Okimom, on your lovely new addition!  joy.gif

I'm late posting my number from last week:

Week 45:  12/52.

I finished another embroidered dish towel.  That leaves three to go and I'll be done, can wrap them up and mail them.  I have 'til St. Patrick's Day.... but, dh has asked me to catch back up on his filing this week, and he's got a friend in town so the house needs some major cleaning/organizing.  Maybe I'll count the filing as a "project."

Finished SOMETHING! Unbelievable. I made a knitted office deodorizer for my partner (he works in an animal shelter... it is SOOOO necessary!). Maybe only having 1 thing done 2 months into the year is kind of lame, but I'm pretty pumped anyway!

9/52  I whipped up this apron for my mom's birthday.  I didn't get a close up of the print but it's got tiny yellow flowers.  One of my sister's is getting her a cookbook from a blog we all like, and my other sister is getting her some kitchen tools, so I thought I'd keep up with the theme :D.  I should sew more often, it goes so much more quickly than knitting!

I don't remember how many I did before, but last week I made 15 record bowls (painted several of them):

100_2553.JPG

I also made a couple more clocks out of records, more records bowls, and a sketch pad cover out of a record:

100_2543.JPG

And this is my favorite... I made a welcome mat for my husband's office! "There's no place like ::1" (hardcore computer geeks might get this):

Been holding steady here at 'nothing completed'.  I did start another blanket so maybe I can get that done.  I am contemplating moving again.  Ive come to realize there are no jobs and no career in this city/state and the time has come to just start over.  Sure would be nice to finish up some crafts before we hit the dusty trail huh?

Ive been on a decluttering kick lately.

Maybe tonight I will crochet?

Finally finished DD's birthday party invitations today. So cute! It's a Spa Party for her 10th birthday and she's inviting 8 girls. (I made an extra for the scrapbook. LOL) DD made the paper "fashions" (comfortable clothing+slippers) and glued them onto the slipper shape I cut out after DH took all the written info and put it in the proper shape in a fancy desktop publishing program. He even gave me cutting lines for all the pieces (curves and all!). love.gif

They are completed finished and ready for delivery tomorrow. :)

We also cleaned out the garden from the winter veggies today. We harvested the remaining produce and pulled weeds and pruned plants and washed it all down and thoroughly cleaned all the plants remaining. Ready for spring planting next weekend! thumb.gif

Its spring break here this week for the district I sub in.  Hoping to get DS to completely try on all his clothes (weed out the winter stuff and see exactly what he has for summer)  I did my closet last weekend.  If all goes well with DS and the closet  I may get him to attempt his shelves and baskets too.

well i was at 11.52.

I finished the quilt just in time for my cousins wedding- it turned out so beautiful- so I am going to give myself 2 points for quilting and binding it.  I made another pair of mini bloomers- so comfy to sleep in.  I also made myself a new diaper bag, and a batik wrap skirt!

So that makes me at 16/52.

I have started DD a new easter dress and have another skirt for myself planned.

Angelorum likes this.

I've been needing to update for awhile.

10/52 I crocheted around this baby blanket for a church charity project.

<a href="http://www.flickr.com/photos/10794308@N02/5536267084/" title="IMG_1254 by etchorusangelorum, on Flickr"><img src="http://farm6.static.flickr.com/5131/5536267084_e84f07744e.jpg" width="500" height="375" alt="IMG_1254" /></a>

11/52 I finally made another wetbag for my diaper bag.  It's not a very exciting looking picture, but it's a functional bag!

<a href="http://www.flickr.com/photos/10794308@N02/5536196018/" title="IMG_1255 by etchorusangelorum, on Flickr"><img src="http://farm6.static.flickr.com/5219/5536196018_7de3515a06.jpg" width="500" height="375" alt="IMG_1255" /></a>

I also finished my bathmat, but it was made with one of my demerit purchases, so I don't think it counts.  I'm excited about it though, it'll probably hold 3 gallons of splashes from ds's baths!

<a href="http://www.flickr.com/photos/10794308@N02/5535618481/" title="IMG_1262 by etchorusangelorum, on Flickr"><img src="http://farm6.static.flickr.com/5259/5535618481_a9c016d755.jpg" width="500" height="375" alt="IMG_1262" /></a>

So, I can't figure out how to get my pictures to show up in the post anymore.  I've tried multiple ways, anybody know how?

Hey, ladies!

I've been MIA for a bit - life's been busy.

Week 42:  16/52.

I finally finished all three dishtowels I had remaining, and got those off in the mail (they arrived two days before the wedding anniversary, so I barely beat Miss Manner's cutoff for getting wedding gifts to someone wink1.gif ... Whew!  My cousin loves them, another relief.  smile.gif  The other project I completed is three bath/swimming pool cover-ups for the girls (just quick bath towels with hoods made of two washcloths) -- I found some towels in clearance in bright colors, and they'll be nice for the girls when we are traveling - they can wear them while walking from the pool to our hotel room, rather than being cold and wet.  They were so quick, there's no way to count them as anything more than 1 project.

D'oh, I just realized that I *purchased* the towels, which means I shouldn't count their completion -- so my total is really Week 42:  15/52 redface.gif

I also got a laundry basket's worth of filing caught up - although I haven't counted that towards projects.  Maybe I should.  It took a lot of work and it was onerous.  More to do ....

I've started my next set of dish towels (a Christmas present) - but have SUCH a yen to sew.  I haven't done that since Christmas.  I need to focus on the filing/decluttering for dh, but really hope I can swing some time to get some sewing completed, too.  Here's hoping....  I think I need to make dd1 an Easter dress in the next while, too.

Thanks everyone! This little guy is adorable but hes a lot more "high needs" than his sisters were. Hes only happy when hes cuddling, in a carrier or nursing. Im beat from taking care of him since hes up every hour or so at night but its so worth it! The whole family adores the little guy. I have another 19 days or so before the move to get what I need to get done for that. I did get a chance to sew a little before the movers came and packed up everything. I made 2 skirts for me, a skirt for DD1, a skirt for DD2, a shawl for me, a nursing cover, a pouch to hold nursing pads, 2 backpacks for the girls, 2 small first aid kits for the girls and 2 bags for utensils for the girls. So my list now is:

1) Doll for DD1(Jan)

2) Doll for DD2 (Jan)

3) Doll outfit for DD1 (Jan)

4) Doll outfit for DD2(Jan)

5) DD1's birthday top and skirt (Jan)

6) Birth necklace and bracelet for DD1 (Jan)

7) Car Seat Blanket (Feb)

8) Purple skirt for me (Mar)

9) Flower skirt for me (Mar)

10) 2 skirts for the girls (Mar)

11) two backpacks for the girls with first aid kits and utensil bags (Mar)

12) nursing cover with pouch for pads (Mar)

13) shawl (Mar)

But with the two demerits I'm at

11/52

I saved out some yarn I hope to work on some baby beanies for the baby but they managed to pack my knitting needles so I have to go get a new set or two before knitting. I also have a cross stitch kit to work on for our new house. Im hoping to finish it before we move so when we get there I can frame it and then hang it. I haven't totally finished a cross stitch kit since I was 14 and in high school so we shall see if I get it done. Im borrowing a friend's sewing machine when I get there and finishing up a sock monkey Im making for DD2 for Easter, her sock monkey I made for Christmas had an unfortunate accident (don't ask, you don't want to know lol.gif) so Im making her a new one to cuddle.

Im going to take pictures of the projects when I find them all. Right now they are in Mount Need To Pack in the middle of my living room.

I am soooo happy to see you posting, Heather!!! I have been worried about you. hug2.gif

Whew! I was so busy with Girl Scout cookie season (8 weeks for me) and then DD's 10th birthday. Tomorrow, I get to rest a bit. thumb.gif

I'm giving myself 2 credits for cookie season: 1 for helping my DD sell 577 boxes (hours spent on numerous "walkabouts") and 1 for being the troop cookie manager (sooooo much work I cannot even describe it all). I had already given myself one credit for all the prepwork for cookie season and there could arguably be more given, but I'll leave it at this.

DD's party was today. We (DH, DD, & I - mostly me) made so many things: invites (already shown and counted), signs (a dozen or more), peppermint epsom salt soaks, "spa spritzers" (body spray), fruit dip, veggie dip (both from basic ingredients - no packets), face masks, 3 course dinner, and more. Plus, all the planning for a school party (big class+several additional challenges that day), family party (tiny, but elaborate), and friend party. Most of the work (and fun) was the Spa Party today. I'm giving myself 2 credits. I'd give another point, but DH earned that one. He was amazing this year, especially considering the theme! LOL

Good news is with all these parties and people at our house since mid-January (cookie season through birthday), my desk in our family office is clean and ready for me to craft again! Treasure mapping time is coming up soon and I am looking forward to it. I need to finish cleaning up from today's party and then DH will help me return the project room to a usable space, too. DD wants to sew over Spring Break, so the timing is great. She has the entire month of April off school and we plan to be local most of the time. My dad invited us to AZ for a mini-vacation, but I don't know if we're going to go or not, yet. Right now, unstructured downtime at home sounds far more appealing than planning a vacation, but we'll see how that pans out.

ETA: I forgot to mention we made use of items we already owned for everything thus far. We borrowed from friends versus buying new when we didn't have what we needed/wanted. We are actually starting to see a dent in my various stashes finally! I have been doing this for at least three years already, maybe five years now in certain craft areas. love.gif

I needed to check in and see what everyone has been doing...I've been busy researching possible places to relocate to.  I;m about 75% sure on this move thing.  We just had 'big item pickup' from the city trash and did a semi  large clean out.

Crafting hopefully resumes!

I know it's not on my project list, but I'm counting it as one because of the sheer size of the project involved...

I cleaned out the garage. Yeah, I know, it's just a garage, but it was a complete wreck! You couldn't even open the door fully because of all the crap in there. I took THREE car loads of trash and recyclables to the dump, found two boxes worth of random things I have been looking for since last summer, and reorganized all of DH's random crap. It took me hours to do all this, but I'm so happy with the results. You can actually open the door completely, walk through the garage, and open the inside door, go up the stairs, and through the back hallway to the kitchen - all without tripping or climbing over a bunch of crap!!! Yay!!

So I'm up to 10/52. I can't believe I've actually completed 10 projects!
